  1. In Chan (Zen) temples back in the day monks played a game called "guest/host" in which they would practice verbally dueling with one another shifting between Guest (dualistic) and Host (non-dualistic) visions of r®eality as a way to show their understanding and learn from one another. What was it like? See the above! Thanks BE.

  2. Perhaps the real purpose of mindfulness is simply to be effortlessly fully aware of one's own mind. And perhaps achieving that you are then equally effortlessly mindful of no thing and of everything...or now that I've said it, perhaps not! Dennis

  3. I've been shooting for years. I understand how to do it. Without thinking I know how to do it. Yet sometimes the bullet hits...sometimes not. At a deeper level (if there were levels and if some were deeper) sometimes hitting and missing are the same, and yet... Dennis

  4. If Zen is seeing one's Buddha Nature, who then is it that is doing the seeing? (Dennis scrathes his belly and thinks, "Maybe there are 16 extra words in that sentance). Dennis

  5. Had a chance to shoot my SSR for the first time today in DA with a variety of different loads. More than pleased wth the DA trigger. It's excellent for a factory trigger in this day and time. Dennis

  6. Thanks! I just got back from ordering one and should pick it up Friday afternoon...then we shall see what we shall see (or perhaps not). Dennis

  7. Not a competition gun, but I got a new 4 5/8" Lipsey Bisley Flattop .44 Special. Wow what a gun...what a caliber! The .44 special is really special: easy to reload, accurate, very accurate and the gun is beautiful and has that wonderful Bisley grip. In a totally non-judgmental way, it's a heck of a combination. Fortunately as a Zen practicioner I'm of course not attached to it...and yet! Anyone else here admire the .44 special? Thanks, Dennis
