hi kurt must have been nice to get back to the states after seeing how our system works. it is not so hard to get shotguns (limited to 3 shot) as long as you have somewhere to lock them up securely,but getting section 1 shotguns (larger capacity) and rifles (bolt action or single action 'ar' style) are a bit harder. you have to prove good reason to own each gun ie member of a club or permission to shoot land,and pistols went for good in the nineties apart from muzzle loaders and certain pistols/revolvers with extra long barrels. even the airsoft scene has been hit now and you can not buy a realistic imitation firearm (rif), unless you have joined a club or the gun is painted a hideous flourecent colour. i have promised the kids a trip to disney florida in the near future so i will be searching out a range to get some shooting in. all the best. jay.

hi everyone. been shotgunning here in the u.k for a couple of years,mainly wildfowling and clays. will be trying out practical shotgun next month, and by what i have seen so far it looks great. i currently have a winchester sx2,remmy 870 wingmaster and a browning gold 10 ga,which are all restricted to three shot(u.k sgc law). but hopefully once im a member of a psg club i can apply for my firearms certificate which will unrestrict the shell capacity. great forum with lots of info on gun setups etc, keep it up guys and girls. all the best. jay.
