Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. If it was $20 maybe I wouldn't be too mad but I know if I grabbed one from my preferred gamer rig maker, Armiger Solutions, it wouldn't look hideous and have crooked blocking to account for the extra length.
  2. As much as I appreciate all that Apex has done and helped me over the phone I am not gonna waste a single minute holding my breath. We are coordinating them to come out for an armorers course where I live and we already postponed it until next year just to have barrel fitting covered. Not sure what the hold up is but it getting close to the point where I feel it won't even matter.
  3. Love the one I have, great little blaster.
  4. While 2" is the magical goal that I have seen my other guns shoot and some M&P's exceed I am not expecting that from a stock service pistol. I am however also expecting a pistol that will at least shoot a group smaller than an IDPA down zero at 25 yards.
  5. I saw that. Who in their right mind would limit themselves to one particular round?
  6. My current status with them is that I need to shoot this gun to see if I am satisfied with it as they suggested they did something to it. I have all types of ammo they used to test it and some ASYM Precision ammo that is touted to be developed for Julie G to shoot Bianchi. I will use all of this to shoot their standards, 3 shots at 10 yards and then compare it to mine, multiple 5 and 10 shot strings. It will be compared to a brand new Gen 4 G17 that has been unfired beyond the 2 test cases at Smyrna.
  7. There is no way in hell I will find a gun that cannot shoot a load I can buy in a store acceptable. Not gonna bother with hand loads or any of that crap. If it can't shoot it can't shoot, not wasting my time with it. It will continue to go back to S&W.
  8. In this instance I would say it is more you than the gun. Mine is in fact the gun, confirmed by other shooters and a rest. I'm going to have to agree with you, Orionz. I've followed your saga on several boards and there's no doubt that you've got a lemon there. I was wondering though if you've tried a bunch of different projectiles in hand loads? It might just be a hyper-ammo sensitive one? There have been many different quality loads through the gun, loads that shoot groups <2" out of others. None group too terribly well. I have some ASYM and a few others to try.
  9. In this instance I would say it is more you than the gun. Mine is in fact the gun, confirmed by other shooters and a rest.
  10. How does it shoot at 10 yards for you? Best thing to do is call them and talk to someone. Post on their Facebook as well, let the world know as many ways as possible. They won't fix it if only a few people here and there are pissed.
  11. Their spec is less than 2" groups of 3 shots at 10 yards. If it meets that there is no problem, in their eyes.
  12. I have been told I would receive a new firearm. In the interim I have located an LE gun that shoots quite well, I will meet with the agency and use their good ammo, my laser, and a rest to put a few through their paces and see what we come up with. I am confident S&W will correct the issue long term, just up in the air short term.
  13. Word is I will be getting a new gun upon their receipt of the current one.
