  1. Free from flesh, blood, and bodily fluids is a good rule of thumb for all purchases. BTW mines not for sale anyhow, Im a twisted little puppy who deserves the punishment for neglecting the wheel gun for most of the year.

  2. I got the Houge extended latch last summer, I like it but It bites me up some. This pic is from my practice session at the range today, notice the little piece of my thumb skin still attached to it. I had not had this happen so bad before, I think it has to do with the fact that I did not get to shoot revo all that much last year and with all the dry fire practice I have been doing since my spanking at the IRC has got my grip higher and more consistent.

  3. If 8 shots were allowed in 625 division.....I mean revo, I think they would need to be limited to minor scoring or it would just start a new arms race in the USPSA side of revoland. While I like the idea of it to some extent I dont think it would help the division grow, only divide it.

  4. JimmyZip, If you like Hank, Johnny, & Buck you should check out Wayne Hancock. He is putting out albums and writing songs right up in the same alley as the great outsider / outlaw country of the 50s & 60s. If you dig Uncle Tupelo & Sun Volt you should check out the album "wreck your life" by the Old 97s. The early stuff by the Jayhawks is also some great alt-country.

  5. I handled a couple at the Shot show, found them kind of intriguing. While I would get a lot more excited about something in the S&W classic series, it's nice to see something new in revo world for a change. I cant see these breaking into ICORE in a big way, but could see them to maybe start poping up in IDPA SSR as the design does lend it self to CCW with the flats on the cylinder.

  6. Try and find "YOU CAN'T MISS" by John Shaw. In the early days he wrote the book that gave me the most help for shooting a revolver at matches.

Also get "FAST AND FANCY REVOLVER SHOOTING" Ed Migivern

What you learn in Brian's book will help you with your revolver shooting and Mental Control, Something you must learn to be able to shoot well.

After stumbling across this post about a week or so ago I went out and picked up both of these books and got a lot out of them, thanks Azshooter. I have had Brians book for a few months now and have gotten a lot out of it, more so every time I go back to it. No second place winner by Bill Jordan is up there as well in my " Revo Bible" collection. For me, picking up a S&W 617 has really helped my shooting by being able to afford to put more rounds down range, especially in improving my weak hand shooting.

  7. I also was skeptical when I first heard of the remake, as you can tell from my SN I am a fan. The new movie is subposed to be based more closely on the book than the original movie was. The Book was a much darker story than the movie and was more focused on the young girl than on the John Wayne's charicter.

  8. I'm going to throw out a couple in a different direction.

This is some of what I grew up on

I was born one morning, it was drizzlin' rain

Fightin' and trouble are my middle name

I was raised in the cane brake by an old mama lion

Ain't no high-toned woman make me walk the line

    Or

These two riverboats, racin' up the river,

    Then ol' Dixie runs aground

There she stands high and dry,

And we're walkin' right on by

I can see the lights of town

We're gonna roll that cotton down

    Or

The hunter is a cheerful sight. His hearth is warm, his fire bright.

His songs, they fill the winter night among the leaves so green-o.

To my hey down, down. Hoe down, down. Hey down, hoe down, derry, derry down.

    Among the leaves so green-o.

    :sight:

    Good Luck!

And remember that I have and eclectic taste in Music :goof:

The first one is Sixteen tons by Tennesee Ernie Ford, the second one is familiar and on the tip of my brain.... Third one Im stumped.

  9. Follow the link to the demo, after you start you will need to click A to shhot the first stage, than B for the next and so on. You can move the scope by clicking and draging it or you can adjust windage & elevation with the arrow keys. There is a range card at the top you can use for adjustments ( point of the game / exercise I believe) or just use Kentucky windage if you like. ;)
