  1. CR Speed makes a good double mag pouch.

I was told at a major idpa match that the cr speed double pouches are not legal in idpa

Smo11 do you have a model number or anything, I looked on their site but couldnt find anything that said it would work with eaa large frame mags

  2. My Witness Match in .40 has plastic grips which I believe are probably much lighter than the earlier rubber grips, with no alterations it weighed 42.4 ounces.

Correction/Edit: Sorry, that's with a K10 magazine (10mm -I've been loading long at 1.243" OAL) which has no spacer, unlike the .40 and I assume the 9mm.

Is your the model with the rail??

  3. Does anyone have any of the new 9mm Mec-Gar mags for a large frame (elite match?) Would you mind throwing them on the scale and telling me the weight? I am getting 3.7oz for my stock old orange style mag. I am trying to get this thing IDPA ESP legal. With aluminum guide rod and houge grips I am getting 43.3oz with old style empty mag. .3oz OVER THE DANG LIMIT! So im right there! I am hoping the new mags will weigh .3 oz less than the old.. Also does anyone have hennings aluminum grips for the match, could I get a weight on those also?

    Thanks!

  4. I have a single action and I dropped a new factory sear in, it required some adjustment on the bottom sear leg to get the gun to function properly with hammer resets and trigger pulling. Might be the same issue your having, ALSO, the new sear they sent would not engage the safety properly so you could actually still drop the hammer with the safety on. I would check yours also!!

  6. Take the sear to a welding shop and have them TIG weld some more material onto the bottom side of the Safety leg. Then simply cut back the excess material until it functions properly.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I just wanted to see if anyone else had run into this problem. My work has a full machine shop I will ask the guys if its something they can do.

  7. I do have the Henning flat trigger kit. The new sear at 1st with no filing at all would not reset the trigger at all with the slide on, After filing some the trigger would reset on slide rack, but at the rage it would not reset after a shot. I took a sanding stone to it and did a little more, and this past weekend I ran 150 rounds with zero issues. Now I just want to get the safety working, if possible without buying a new safety lever.

  8. Hey guys, I put a new sear in my Elite Match 9mm. I had an issue of the trigger not resetting fully. That was cured by filing the bottom leg of the sear to a slight angle. The only remaining problem is the safety. As you can see in the picture the sear that came on my gun on the left, the top safety arm is much thicker. The new sear however the safety arm is more "claw" like and narrower. Because it is narrower it is not connecting with with the notch on the safety lever to prevent the trigger from working while the safety is on. I had cleaned the part and roughed up the bottom of the sear leg and applied a steel epoxy. But after 300+ rounds of testing and close inspection the epoxy has failed. Does anyone have any suggestions, my only idea is to weld a tiny bead on the bottom of the safety sear arm and file it to fit. I only need like .50 - .60mm of material added to the safety arm. Has anyone else had this issue? Recommended fix? Am I better off trying to do the weld on the actual safety lever it self and fit that to the sear arm? Thanks in advance!

  9. I have the new model with the light rail. Which sucks because I wanted to use it for idpa and it weighs to much stock to shoot in its class esp. I was getting around 44.1-44.5oz stock esp limit is 43oz w/ empty mag. Now im left trying to find ways to lighten it up without hacking the frame up. Which might have to be done..

  10. I got a 13lb hammer sping n it works great for lightening the trigger pull but its to weak to set of the primers everytime, not terrible but I had 3 light strikes out of 150 rnds. So my question is, is it ok to take some coils off the firing pin spring to lighten it up so it can hit harder? I know the XL firing pin would solve this but I want to use this gun in IDPA and removing the firing pin block is illegal in idpa rules

  11. I use a Canon 5dmkII and a 40d for back up, Lenses are, 70-200 f2.8L IS, 24-70 f2.8L, 24-105 f4L IS, 50mm f1.2L, 15mm f2.8 Fisheye, and a 100mm f2.8 macro, flashes are 580exII and 580ex, all Bogen tripods and monopods. Cameras spend most of their time on my pistol grip mono pod, with a custom brackets digital pro-e rotating mount, I love that mount its awesome for weddings and events.
