Lame. Might as well call everybody a winner.

nope just the division winners. overall will become a thing of the past.  Ive shot alot of formats 3GN, USPSA,IDPA,NRA bullseye ,USPSAMG ect and UML is by far the best format I've seen. The rules have been taken from many other rule sets out there and combined and simplified.  Scoring being the biggest improvement simple time plus, courses of fire are universal and aren't seen as favoring or hindering one division over another.  Its also the fastest match format around, 90+ shooters 5 stages in 4 hours. id shoot local uspsa matches if they could figure that out.

    This.

In PCC division there is no capacity limit. Reloading is not part of that division.  I'm not sure why you wouldn't use that to your advantage.

currently none of the products available have been reliable enough with my rifle. a ftf or double feed costs way more time than reloading and the factory mags run 100% so far. I added dawson base pads to the factory 31rnd mags and get 35 with new springs and 36 with one that has set. 36+1 is plenty for now.

I was there!  Good match!  That stage was fun!

I use it on every 32+ stage.  Why would you not?  I get 37 with my extended 31 round mag, and yes it's enough for most stages, but the extra rounds don't slow you down.  Do I need them?  Nope!  However, it's sure nice when you're facing long steel.  You do not wanna reload a PCC.

It's ugly, but it's also $30 delivered.  The Taylor Freelance is more $$, and some people seem to have troubles with them.

As far as looking stupid.  C'mon...  I'm already running around carrying a rifle!  Plus, we all look like Batman wanna be's with these belts loaded up.

about the same as reloading an ar15 or and open gun. usually plenty of time to do it somewhere

I'm going to bet that you have an NFA or PSA lower or some sort of clone......

it is a Tresna defense, has a feed ramp on it. all factory mags of any length run 100%

i am also having issues with TF extension.  but in a different way

  5. I have both tf and tacom neither are reliable. Beyond the stock mag capacity.  The additional rounds stand straight up in gun. All glock factory mags run great in the same gun. The extended ones I have are useless.

  6. I switch to a cheely vertical offset mount and a go gun thumb rest. don't like the fact that the thumb rest blocks the takedown pin. had to long bolt the thumb rest with only 2 bolts so i can pivot it outa the way when it comes time to strip the down for a cleaning.

  7. My open 38Super has run 100% out of the box. No changes no adjustment. Yes it took a couple of hundred rounds to break in. I ran AA major ammo for break in and followed the advice of a couple of guys who had DVC's in how to break it in and what oil/lube to use. The 2-stock STI mags and 2-MBX even though when you measure the feed lip and realize according to all I have read are not in spec have run 100%. I have had a couple of issues's with my reloads, but not the gun's fault. Even messed around with a 9mm load and 38 super comp brass with very good success and accuracy. I shoot with several guys who own DVC open and limited guns and the have all had the same experience I have. Seems like no matter who builds the gun there are stories of poor customer service and problems. I have seen several good shooters buy top of the line builder open guns have to send them back multiple times for adjustments and they spent way more than I did.

    What lube are they suggesting?

  9. Has anyone heard anything on the new Angled Mounts from Carver Customs? I was interested to see this mount will still require you to cut the ejection port down like his standard competition mounts do or not. Any word yet?

I've ordered one should be here Tuesday.

Bobby says it does not require any modifications

  10. Hello, Terry Ashton the designer of the original TEXAS STAR has decided to allow GT TARGETS to continue making the STAR in its original design configuration. GT will keep making the STAR exactly the same way that Terry has been making them, we will not change a single thing on the target. GT is in the process of duplicating Terry's fixtures & patterns so we can make the target an exact copy. We should have the targets ready for sale early next year for the '12 shooting season. GT will have spare targets & hardware kits available asap. GT has the pattern for targets at the laser cutter now and the first targets should be here soon.

The STAR will be added to the GT dealer page on this site and the www.gttargets.com site and I will try to post updates on the STAR to keep everyone up to date.

thanks to Terry for teaming up with GT, thanks, Karl @ GT

what price point are you looking at.

  11. a press mounted puller will last FOREVER but the bullets that it pulls tend (more often than not) to be non-reusable.

I have used a Frankford hammer for a long time, I have reloaded 10's of thousands. Early last summer I had a pressure problem developed. turned out the lube from the bullets built up in the seater and caused the OAL to change. I didn't catch it until I had 1000 or more loaded, pulled them all down with the Frankford.

  12. I bought one and my hands don't even touch it, It does help with sloppy reloads, but does nothing for my grip.

I don't know if others are larger but I am going to try a slug. If I don't like it I will mill it off and leave it in there for the weight.

  13. I bought one for my 35

fitting it was tough, it chewed the shit out of my thumb knuckle so I took it off. I am going to smooth the ribs out and see if it feels better. I don't think it added or detracted from the gun either way.

I don't have alot of meat in the web between my thumb and index. I can't take a high enough grip to get cut without placing the web over the back of the grip then it gets sawed on pretty good.

I have a friend that is LEO that has jp beavertails on all of his duty guns G22's & G27. he just bought a g4 35 and can't shoot it (comfortably) until they make a grip force for the G4. he wants to shoot production with the 35 and having jp put the beavertail on eliminates that option.
