  1. i had a glock 35 slide hard chromed by accurate plate & weaponry.. it did take a little longer than expected due to a "smudge" that kept showing up on the right side of the slide. I recieved a letter from Bob Cogan that even he did the last chroming to try and get it right but it was still showing up and he figured there was something in the metal affecting the plate process.

  2. im sure there was similar talk when 38supers came out in revos.

I figured headspace might be a issue but worse case you could run a brush down the cylinder every other stage. not shooting lead bullets might help to..

  3. i have been sitting here for some time tossing around the idea of a 6 shot 357sig revo. I am sure there has to be something wrong with the idea otherwise it would have been made by now.. I can see this in my head, SW610 with a .356 ported 6inch barrel, custom cylinder, C-more on top. win win win????

    thoughts?

  4. Guess I fall in the 2% that dont conform to the norm lol

not exactly a group I could cover with a nickle but considering this is a revo, no comp, DAO, lead bullets, tens of thousands of bullets down the pipe. I think she is still doing good.

  5. 3.5 is the old trusty 38spl load. personally i have grown to like trailboss because there is ZERO chance of throwing a double with one, its design for lead, and fairly cheap to shoot when you buy it by the jug. Although its a PITA to try and make PF with it. My comp loads vary between clays, 231, and N350

  6. My action pistol rig is starting to get noticible amount of wobble in the cylinder. I am not tech savy on what the parts are called that I am looking at but I call them the cylinder stop stud(part in the frame that sticks out and makes contact with the exterior cylinder grooves) and the exterior cylinder grooves. The grooves on the cylinder seem to be wore the most. Do they make a oversided cylinder stop stud that I can install to take up the slack in the cylinder? the round count in this gun is in the mid to high tens of thousands. Could it be time for a overhaul?

  7. i just did a small trial run with clays in my 38spl with 147swc.. i got side tracked when my dad called and threw a double charge in one(5.2gr) went to the range and was having fun.. pow pow pow pow KABOOM!!! no revo damage and i still have all my fingers. All it did was flatten the primer really nice. scared the crap out of me. But overall i like the powder.

  8. Southwest Gun Club is getting the Action Pistol program started the third Saturday of every month starting in March.

We are getting set up as a NRA legue. First time shooters will be $17 for the first match of the year and $10 after that. Our course of fire will be plates, practical, mover, and military. Barricades should become operational later in the year. If you are a first time shooter to the sport I will cover your match fee's. Registration at 8:30. Shooting begins Promptly at 9:00.

  9. Really I was able to fix most of the problems. The crown is what scares me see pic in the 6&8 o'clock on the barrel... The rifling is actually sticking out past the muzzle. Granted I can fix that to but I might actually call smith on that one
