  1. If you got DQ'd......suck it up and take it.....don't bitch after the match. The time to bitch is at the match to the match director with your $100 bill in hand, not cry about it later.

But to get back on topic.....I would love to see that there was a common set of rules and common set of scoring. OK I WILL SET MY CRACK PIPE DOWN. But we have so many different versions of 3-gun matches (rules and scoring), from the national level to the local level, it is getting insane. Everything from different sets of proceedures, equipment & guns for each match gets many people frustrated, due to cost and just remembering where you are when you shooting a match. OK CRACK PIPE IS BACK IN HAND!

  2. the good.....thanks to the RO's and staff for putting up with all of us.......I know it is not easy and the beer in your hand on sunday afternoon was tasting pretty damn good.

the bad.....i was shock to see that no match t-shirts where not given out, like other major matches. a schedule change on the first day was not pleasant either.

the unknown, Kurt did you fall off a bar stool? when happen to your knee?

  3. Dumb question

Is there any color of backing that can be put up to contrast the grey color of shot steel? Flouresent yellow, hot pink. It seem like that could negate the need for repainting. Might help with low light as well. Has to work good in bright sunlight too.

As for classes/divisions, I don't much care as long as the match is held every year.

Thank you again Denise & JJ for putting on the match.

    It was great.

On stage 2.......you could see the targets better without the backing!!!!!!!! the grass was a great backer for gray targets.....i know they where easier to spot that way.....we painted in the morning and at lunch........I was playing around with them at the end of the day and could see them just fine gray with my iron sights....

You did great on your reshoot, but i can't say that for everyone else.... :surprise:

  4. who cares about power factors in 3 gun, thats a USPSA thing. if your ammo cant knock over the steel thats your bad for downloading the powder charge. be alittle smarter next match. All a power factor does is to make you get your powder/bullet mix just to that fine line to barely make major. its not really full house factory standards. I look at it kinda like classifiers or a classification system. Worthless and encourages sandbaggers. but thats another topic.....Crap....now I pissed myself off, now I got to go and arrest someone. I'll have to tell the poor fool.. "your going to jail tonight because of the forums!"

"Officer, may I suggest using your knight stick"........Eddie Murphy in Trading Places

But they should include a knight stick in heman....LOL

  5. I hear ya kurt........it has become so bastardized between all the matches, that i don't even want to shoot it anymore.

i have to have a metal frame single stack and my edge for pistol.....

I have to have a pump and a semi for shotgun....

i have to have 2 different sets of mags and irons or scope for my rifle.....

this is just be compete in all the matches that have heavy/heman. I am going to sit out he-she/man. Just sit back and watch it transform into a morphidite!

    PS....Mell don't get excited on us now...haha

  6. this senario you have setup is what was shot in the area 6 3-gun champ in 2004.......Stage #4 "Magnum Vice Prez"..... But with a reload and a extra target

    stage was:

4 ipsc targets about 2 yards apart at 50yrds.......signal, 2 on each paper, reload and 2 on each paper.

    http://www.uspsa-area6.org/matches/2004a63gun_results.pdf

there are the scores, so you can see what people where running in tactical/open/limited (standard) setup rifles......

    i hope this helps...

  7. As I get closer to 40, I get tired pumping the pump shotgun, can we have semi-autos (scored seperately of course) in He Man?

I also have trouble handling the recoil of the .45ACP and tire of doing 3X the mag changes of the Tactical-class shooter. Can I shoot my Limited gun (scored seperately of course) in He-Man?

I also tire of the expense of shooting a .308, can we shoot 7.62X39mm in Heman?

I want to shoot an ACOG TA11 but find it difficult to shoot it quickly up close because the Matt Burkett/Kurt Miller Iguana-vision technique does not work for my eyes so can I mount more than one optic on my He-Man rifle? It's not really fair that my eyes cannot do this technique so we should adjust the division.

It gets tiring shooting a heavy He Man rifle prone, can I have a bipod?

    I FEEL THE LOVE!!!!!

I am looking forward to the match this year, since last year I missed it............
