Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I guess I'm just spoiled. 25 miles each way isn't too bad. I'm just a little gunshy because I've driven from Oregon to North Dakota and back about 12 times in the last year. Montana is a big state to cross east-west. Also, I hate adding 2 gallons of gasoline to my shooting expenses a couple times a week. I'll just have to mentally shut that out and chalk up the extra gas to grocery trips or something. Thanks for all the great replies, and glad to hear there are a couple active ranges around! Hope to check things out in the next year or so when I can finally move back to Montana from Oregon.
  2. thanks for the replies guys, I had never been to the range in Logan and was afraid it might just be a bench with a target stand at 100 yards and a gate. Looks pretty nice actually. Too bad its such a long drive from Bozeman.
  3. Anyone know if there is a range or any active shooting clubs in the Bozeman area? Last time I looked, there was a small range by three forks and that was it.
  4. I'm looking to make an order of powder for the summer and I don't know what to get. My plan is to practice for GSSF shooting, so there isn't any power factor issue, I just need loads that cycle reliably in my gun(a g17) and are low/moderate recoil. Can anyone recommend a powder for me that will meter well in a 550, pour out if double charged, and allow me to cook up a nice low/moderate recoil load? 147 gr precision delta fmj mixed brass cci/win small pistol primers If you have a special place to order it from, that could help too... I was just planning on using powder valley. I have some blue dot and AA #7 on hand for 10mm reloads, thoughts on these for my 9mm load?
