  1. Just wanted to know if my Browning Hi-Power, 9mm can be shot in production class?
  2. Hope this is the right to post this. Started giving some training classes and was wondering if anyone out there besides Blade Tech is making training barrels. Blade Tech makes 2 that I need, but not for some other models, Berretta and XDS. Couldn't find any more manufacturers out there on the web. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Great news, the boys from New York will be back with a vengence. Looking forward to it again.
  4. Hey Larry, It's almost August, wondering if the stages are complete and where we could go to get a look at them? I'm sure many are curious as well. Thanks....teemch
  5. Been checking the site all month and have not seen a notice for the match. I've shot the last 2 and it's a great match. Hope it isn't cancelled like the Coast Guard match was last year. Love the stages and don't mind giving my money to the cadets.
  6. Howard,

This is Paul Fetonti, one of the RO's from New York. You may recall that I paid for entry to the 2012 FNH with a free entry that I won at last years event.

Larry was going to send me a free entry into next years match as my compensation for working, but as of yet no word from him.

Could you see if he got word from me on the matter. My handle here is teemch5.

  7. Need some advice from you all on a good gunsmith. Have a 1911 that I want to have looked over and straightened out. Have some issues with it and want it fixed. Any recommendations. Thanks
  8. I heard through the grapevine that no more matches will be held. If that's accurate I don't know. Thanks for the info, I hope the grapevine was wrong. It was a great match and the midshipmen did a fine job. Would love to shoot it again.
  9. Has anyone heard if the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Combat Arms Team will be holding a 3-gun match this year? It was in the fall last year and it was a great match. Have yet to see any announcement about the match and can't seem to get in touch with them directly. Just wondering. Teemch
  10. Question for you guys, Just started using Practiscore in my club and I was entering info from yesterday's match. We had a fixed time stage and halfway through entering I have 5 shooters who have maxed out the stage and no way to figure out who was the best on that stage. I would use the lowest time to determine stage winner, but I don't see a place to enter a time when scoring the fixed time stage. Any suggestions? Thanks....teemch5
  11. Shot the match today and must say it was another fine match put on by the CWT. More challenging than last year and a lot of fun. Great bunch of guys on squad 11 and we had some really good rifle shooters with us. Rain held off till the last stage today and we had a much better day than those who shot on Saturday. Special thanks to all the cadets who ran the match, they are this country's future and all are fine young men. We should all be proud of them. Thanks to all who put on the match and I look forward to next year.
  12. Hey Guys, Just wondering, What time do we need to be at the range on either day? Looked over the material and no mention of when the shooting starts and when registration starts, don't want to be late! Got an answer for me and the rest of the participants? Thanks......TEEMCH5
  13. Obviously you can do it with 5 shots No, but it's a blast trying and the bitching for all the others is comical. Fear not there only plates
  14. Seems like you have a group who wouldn't mind shooting some strong hand and weak hand. Really want to get people riled up, have a Texas Star shot weak hand. I can hear the uproar now! Do it.
  15. Larry, Why don't you guys put a stage in that requires stronghand only and weakhand only shooting. It's a valid skill that most should have and it challenges most shooters who avoid it like the plague. Teemch5
  16. Jim, We hold our pistol matches in Westchester County, north of the city and around Peekskill,NY. We don't have our own range and rent the ranges at the Blue Mountain Sportsmen Center. At this time we still aren't sure we can have shooters from other states shoot our matches since Blue Mountain is a Westchester County range ( owned and opperated ) and allows only shooters with a valid New York State Pistol Permit to shoot on the property. It would be great if you came to shoot with us in the future.....Paul
  17. Hi All, My club has recently become affiliated with USPSA and we are getting ready to hold our first USPSA match next month. I want to know about the props that are allowed to be used in a USPSA sanctioned match. Pretty sure on the paper issue, but need to know about steel plates in particular. The USPSA states that 6" square or 8" round plates may be used in matches. My question is: Is it allowable to use plates that do not meet the guidelines put forth by the USPSA? My club recently purchased a bunch of 5" round plates and 4"x8" rectangle knock over plates. We're not a big club and do not have the budget to go out and buy more steel at the present. Can these "outlaw" sized plates be used in a sanctioned match. My club has been holding monthly pistol matches for several years now and we always use combination stages. All the regular shooters enjoy the stages and the challenges, we sometimes shoot clay birds on stands, a Texas Star and anything else we can come up with. Not all of our regular shooters are USPSA members and I don't want to change up what they have seem to enjoy. I also want any new shooters who join us for a USPSA mach to get their money's worth and have their scores count towards classification. We will follow all guidelines for classifiers and plan to have 2 at each month. Any thoughts on what I'm asking about here. Can I keep both sides happy and will USPSA give us some latitude in the use of props? Another question while I have your attention, Is there any way to not have non-USPSA members pay the etxra fees placed on the match for the processing of match results and classification. Don't seem fair to charge guys that just want to shoot and don't give a care about USPSA, classification and all that. Thanks....TEEMCH5
  18. Application went in the mail today. Can't wait to shoot this match again, had a great time last year and am very much looking forward to it again. Not really that far off!!
  19. Hey guys Any update as to when the match applications will be out? Have about 4 guys interested in shooting this worthwhile match.
  20. Called MTM the other day and found out they sell the clips for .40 cents each. Just call them up direct and ask because I didn't see them offered as separates, just combined with the board.
  21. I asked that question at Peacemaker and was told they come from MTM, you know the guys who make the plastic ammo boxes
  22. WOW, It's been a week since we got home from the match, my friends and myself, and all I can say is great match, great time had by all and my friends and I will be back next year. The staff from the top all the way down were great and helpful and fair. A wonderful experience for our first major match, the range was a thing of beauty and will only mature into a top notch facility in the years to come. Loved the surrounding area and all it had to offer. Prize table was awesome and I'm afraid I'll be spoiled because of it from this point forward. Can't wait till next September to return and enjoy the warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours. Thanks again to all involved....Teemch5
  23. Linda, When will the squad lists be posted and how far is it to the Banquet hotel from the match hotel? Thanks
  24. Was wondering distances myself, saw the last post and went back to check the stages but still didn't see the range on any of the stage diagrams. What am I missing?
  25. Just signed up for the match. Had not heard of it before and spotted it on the forum. Shot West Point in April and really enjoyed it and loved being able to help out the Combat Weapons Team and their efforts. Will continue to shoot West Point for as long as I am able, and hope this match for the Coast Guard Academy turns out to be as much fun. Was wondering where to go for more information on the match? Went to the Hartford Gun Club website and the match was not listed on their schedule. Will the round count be listed on the website as well as the stages? Can you guys help me out with information locations?
