flint, they seem like results of stove pipe ... are you shure that they aren't?

That reload could use a bit of work.
Obviously a must-see for any "combat" pistol shooter.
... also a good gunsmith ...

I use a hard nylon one plus a brass washer between it and the spring ... the gun feel good, the SB have a very long life with the brass on it, I like it, never a problem ... I accurately clean up my gun at every use
standard/limited gun with lightened slide, bull barrel, full guide rod and reverse plug ... 12,5# spring for major loads with 180 grain bullets

you can but I think it isn't a good idea, the extractor can suffer a lot
Good point. I actually carried an extra G-20 extractor with me for this reason. I estimate I shot about 5-6 thousand 40 s&w rounds.(GF shot another 2-3 thousand).
... thanks to glock exeptional quality standards!!

Hi dear shooter friends,
the reason is the various hardness of the primers, federals are softer than others ... also pistol primers are softer than rifle
federal pistol primers are softest, then winchesters, then cci and fiocchi ... then rifle ... this thing let federals aid gun light percussion but need more care using presses
to much hard pushing is the problem and we can resolve using "delicate" primers like federal ones when we have a lot of experience
I prefer cci also SR that doesn't create percussion problem in my gun, and I think cannot create to any gun correctly setted

hi dear shooting friends, I'm an italian shooter by a ADC custom gun of Roberto Dallera, an italian gunsmith, a system colt hc gun with a para frame and a lightened caspian frame for standard/limited division
however, I use sti .40 extractor for 30K rounds and never one problem, I have always one with me in my shooting bag for raplace ... they need a little experience to fit them for the lenght, not to meet the brass body, and the radius of the hook, but it is one of the thing that I think a shooter have to know ... brownells or brazos have informations about this

but let me ask something about aftec that interest me very much, how many shots do you have with yours?
thanks to all

the only way I know to do to haven't bullets setback is to put in the garbage the brass that doesn't feel hard on the risizing ... the brass alloy loose its elasticity by the use
a correct set up of the dies aren't a security to prevent bullets setback
be sure on a correct oal that makes your ammo good in chambering, and then use brass not too used ... its elasticity depend also by the quality of brass alloy but the feeling on the resizer doesn't lie

hi dear shooter friends, I'm italian, my name is luca and I'm for the first time here
it is normal that nickel plated brass splits after few reloading times, they are better to extract, but its hardness and thickness reduce its life ... if you want to reload them many times look at naked brass tipe, like GFL, Starline, R-P, Federal, Winchester, speer ... all good brass alloy, very resistent
