  1. Missed you out there great day, not a lot of heat ,stages laid some Cha-lee traps. I made 2 errors that hit me pretty good. The morning steel was doing a dance on me and wasted alot of time, I tightened up my grip and the afternoon steel wasnt quite as bad. Hope to rock at PSAC next Sat.

  2. Having had both hips replaced 1 in 2010 and 1 in 2011 I got to the gym as soon as my PT told it was ok and I worked out until 2 weeks prior to the second surgery, After the second surgery I was back at the gym riding the bike in 2 weeks. I it is going to take a lot mental persuasion for you to get yourself going but a approach it with patientence and also a desire to get back to a good point. I dont run any marathons but short sprints for a stage does not seem to cause any discomfort. I am still at the gym 3-4 times a week plus a weekly competion in the summer. So all I can say is that I feel better than I did for 15 years. My massage therapist says that the new hips are less prone to dislocation than those of the past. Just use good sense as you go. I know that I probably over due it but I have a Marine mentality.

  3. Panda man I had a great time and even though I didnt do as wel as I had hoped, I felt that I physically was able to handle the 11 stages in 1 day fairly well . It was bummer about stage 5 because it was my best stage and being the CRO on that stage I did the best that I could to make it as consistent as possible. All the match staff was great and watching the other great shooters from around the area was a learning experience in it self. Dawn did a great job with the food , and as you know I can eat big LOL. Count me in on the next one, you know you have my support. Get the angry Panda finger ready cuz we need you at the High Desert.

  4. I asked the question of one my local CRO about your hand placement during your classifier, He stated that thate would be a large debate over where the arm ends and how much support that you would gain from that position. I think this would be a good question for the NROI. My first thought is that it is a procedural, but a good point for clarification.

  5. Joe I finally made it out the range and resighted my pistol with the new front sight on wednesday. Then went out to HPPS this past Sat. and shot with one of my regular clubs, I had what I would call very eventfull days. I helped with some minor setup and watched signup so I could fill in if needed in the future. My stages were full of misses and my speed was quite lacking . But considering I'm not yet 5 weeks out of Hip replacement I feel real good. I did not have any Hip or leg pain, but my back was tired and my feet were howling loud. I did have my best classifier ever so thats a real improvement and shooting with Glenn Higdon ( a real good grand master) he was able to point out some real things that I need to improve as my speed and condition come up.

  6. For those of you who didnt witness Cha-lees stage 5 at AGC it was the very impressive to watch and since I was scoring being right in the middle makes it that much more impressive. Way to go Panda. Yhe Panda was growling (litteraly).

  7. Kudos on the shoot sat. When I first saw the stages I was a Little grumpy ,but by the end of the day I felt good, I still am having transiton issues and I too was indexed to high on 2 of the left side targets on stage 2, so 2 misses. My speed is improving except on stage 1 I didnt think I moved that slow but "It is what it was".

  8. Hey Cha-lee isnt that twice you forgot the gun? Well I'll have to be first to admit that even without a rear sight you still shoot better than myself and quit a few others WTG. See you at AGC My partner and I have planned some practice for me and my new shooting style with a bionic hip. The main thing is I need to go back to basics. See you there.

  9. I second MarkCo's opinion. As you know I am going through a similar thing with my surgery. I am starting a stationary bike process today. So stay strong and you and I will start our comeback near the same time. Good Luck.

  10. Sorry to hear Cha-lee. Hope you can find a way out. My progress is slowed by a strained right foot but no pain in the hip. use pain meds to sleep. All is good and yours will be also you have to believe.
