Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Gunbroker had a few of these so I picked out what looked to be the cream of the crop in Nickle (I like em shiney...) and bought one. I have a Witness Elite Stock in .45acp and wanted a similar format in 9mm hence the purchase. I did a search and there has not been much traffic on TA90's for a while anyone here still shoot them and what is your current opinion. What is the Nickle like does it flake or peel or are they solid?
  2. STI Will have a 9mm Spartan available in March. With an Armscor Manufactured Frame and STI innards. Around $628 will also take the TRIPP 10 rnd Mags. It looks like a good entry point 9mm 1911 (I ordered one!)
  3. Everything Is original My current suspicion is the trigger bar may not be flat and is causing the plunger to shift. I think ill have to spend the $50 and send it back..
  4. I have a new EAA Witness Elite Stock. After firing around 220 rounds at my first range trip. The Trigger plunger sliped sigeways and releved the preasure on the mag plunger and it fell out. I have since installed a new one from Henning. What worries me is the Trigger plunger movement. I loaded up a mag with snapcaps and began dryfiring and hand ejecting (via racking the slide) and before to long I had a slide jam due to the the trigger plunger turning sideways slipping upwads and blocking the triggerbar. Any suggestions before I give up and spend more money to send it in to EAA? Or anyone have a contact at the EAA armory that I can have a conversation with?
  5. The plunger turned sideways and was released from under the trigger bar
  6. Nearing the end of my first range visit with my new Witness Elite Stock, the trigger was getting a bit sloppy. I attributed it to having sent 220 or so rounds of .45acp through it. When I got home I field stripped the gun to clean it, which by the way was very dirty (Remington FMJ and JHP from WW). As I was reassemblying, the slide went on fine but I was unable to rack the slide or pull the trigger. As I was examining the gun the mag release fell out of the gun and I was now able to get the slide off again. The retaining pin in the mag release was gone I assume it fell out at the range somewhere. The trigger plunger was turned sideways and the trigger bar was getting hung up on it. I reajusted everything and its back together, using Hennings diagrams to be sure everything was in the correct place. I'm now waiting for a new retaining pin. I'm not real impressed with the Quality of this $800 gun. Suggestions anyone?
  7. Those old dino's I'll give ya $200 .... :
  8. I just ordered an EAA Witness Elite Stock to use in IDPA this spring. I know there's not alot of holsters that fit the Witness line but would anyone have recomendations for both IWB and OWB Holsters. PS I am one of those really big guys 6'1" 350lbs. So I'm leaning to OWB also I'm in the Peoples Republic of Illinois so I can't carry anyway. I just need to meet IDPA rules.
