No need to hate Roy, you can play with mine if I can play with a few of yours (talking about SVI's here)!

Lefty, use my trigger finger to hit the mag release.

I stay at the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh/West Mifflin hotel when I am in the area, decent place & not too far to the Range.
-
Take it slow Sarge, it will be worth it, might not feel that way right now but Percocet helps, see you at the range soon.

Just had it across the elbow, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, I missed 1 week of competition & I'm good to go, no problems at all.
-
I have the SV ss Signature on 3 guns & both new & old SV's & STI work just fine.

As well as a great college (a little biased) & fellow Kentucky Colonial, guys at BGSL will be very helpful in getting you headed in the right direction.

Reservations changed, good thing I like you.

Hotel reservations made, my favorite match every year.

Best of Luck Kevin, have had 2 back surgeries & patience is the key but it will be worth it.

I've owned guns from most of the named builders, a lot of good gunsmiths but none compares to Matt McLearn.

Tactical Optics.

Matt's guns are Masterpieces & 100% reliable, he doesn't believe that a gun needs 1,000 rounds through it to break in, his starts from the 1st shot without exceptions.

Have 4 guns on order, Mark7 will be next.

EGW is the best made for a Lefty, add a thumb shield & you have the best combination available.

My tanfo
Can I ask what thumb rest you are using?

The SV signature grip is the smallest of the metal grips. CK Arms steel grip is the next smallest.
I thought the Infinity Competition was smaller than the Signature.

You're entering with the wrong foot, moving left to right enter with the left foot, just the opposite going the opposite way. Matt Burkett & Steve Anderson run drills in their training on this, I think Matt has this entering boxes on one of his DVD's.

My standard make ready routine:
Optic is on before the make ready
Draw to first target plus first transition
Adjust dot brightness if needed
Perhaps a 2nd draw to first target if I didn't like the first one
Load
One last Sight picture
Holster
Turn camera on if I'm filming the run
Visualize (if I mess something up in my visualization, I'll restart it)
A couple dry grips
Nod
The time all that takes varies on the stage. Sometimes it's shorter, sometimes it's longer. I've only had maybe one RO say something to me in 10-15 years and that didn't go over very well. To be bluntly honest, I don't care if my make ready routine annoys anyone. Until it is against the rules that is what I'm going to do. I'm not trying to take a lot of time or annoy someone, I'm trying to set myself up for the best performance I can muster. I also know for certain I am no where near the slowest out there and it doesn't bother me when someone takes more time than I do.
Well said Jake & you are not close to the slowest, not that it matters (Not a GM by accident!)
