  1. Training:

    Been stepping up dryfire training!

    Lots of work on footwork!

Recently received training from Lanny Bassham, I believe it's taking my game to the next level.

Also took a class from Bob Vogel, what a great guy!

All in all, I see myself rocketing forward in improvement!

    Matches:

    Plan on shooting SS Nationals.

    Maybe even Limited and Open.

4 other major matches are on the table too!

These are all steps forward in the process of improving!

    People:

Jim Anglin is building my 6inch limited gun! He's a great guy to work with!

Met Greg Morando the other day, He's the inventor of various Glock magazine products. Top notch guy! GTUL for the WIN!

Spoke w/ Derek Janowicz, he's replacing my cracked Aftec for free, great guy and customer service!

  2. The bottom of my STI Trubor barrel is ground flat to accompany the STI Recoil Master.

I want to get rid of the Recoil Master and put a standard full length guide rod in the gun.

Since standard guide rods have a U cut in them and this barrel has been ground flat, will I run into any problems running a standard guide rod.

    Pics Attached!

    Thanks so much!

  3. So I have a little over a thousand rds through Benny's Tactical 930. Zero Malfunctions.

I shot a match the other day and mine was the only 930 that didn't have malfunctions.

Thanks Benny! It's been a great shotgun!

Benny, I believe I got your first 930, have you changed anything since your first models?

I noticed you chromed the bolt on the open 930.

  4. When your hands get very cold... A SERE instructor told me to swing my arms in circles at a high rate of speed. It pulls nice warm blood to your frozen hands, allowing you to see great improvements in movement immediately. This helps warm up your muscles and it's free! Haha

  5. People have their own opinions on reloading setups. I've listened to those random opinions in the forum. The problem is that most people want the cheapest way to reload and so did I. Well I thought I would just be extra careful and gamble w/ the cheaper machines. Because the cheapest machines don't have fail safes, I ended up loading a double charge. I lost that gamble, along with a really nice STI. Reloading and shooting is an expensive sport, that's just something we have to come to grips with. If we never prepare for a failure, that failure will bite us in the ass. A Dillon 650 is a safe and reliable setup that you can count on.

  6. I was just told by one of the top GM's that people won't reach their full potential without shooting open. So I sucked it up and bought one of those crazy contraptions. If figured since he's been winning nationals since I was born, I'd listen to him.

  7. 6 CR-Speeds then 1 spare mag in my rear pocket for the load and make ready. May switch to 7 because that mag in the rear pocket can get annoying. Speaking of CR-Speeds, they're my favorite comp pouch, though it would be nice if they were lighter for us 6+Pouch guys.
