Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Guys: I ran across an internet ad for Armscor .38 super rimless brass (I assume this is basicallyy .38 supercomp). The price was about 1/2 that of Starline or Hornady. That old saying of "if it's too good to be true..", came to mind. I belive Armscor is a Phillipine company. I have had less than stellar results with Starline supercomp brass so I am looking for alternatives. Has anyone out there had experience with Armscor .38 rimless brass and is there a distributor in the USA?
  2. I routinuely tumble my loaded .38 Supercomp cases to clean the case lube off the brass. I tumble them for about 10 minutes in a Dillon vibratory tumbler. I've been doing this for years and have never had a problem. An added benefit of doing this is that any cases with loose primers will generally either come out of the primer pocket or back out enough so you will see a high primer. Better to find these problems now than in a match when your gun fails to feed. I would NOT suggest tumbling loaded rounds for any extended period of time as it could break down the powder. Hope this helps.
  3. Guys- I just loaded up 200 rounds of .45 and guess what, not a single crushed primer. I think we have this problem licked. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks for the info. I noticed I did have a fair amount of play in the swing arm on the primer system. Everything else looked OK. I hope this will solve the problem. Thank you to all that provided information
  5. Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution? My Dillon 650 seems to crush about 7% - 10% of the rounds I load. It happens with both large and small primers. The primers seem to be turning sideways in the primer tray and then are crushed when the primer rod tries to seat them in the brass. I have taken the press apart and cannot seem to find the problem or a solution. Anyone have an ideas?
