  1. I agree with you Charles. Why can't there be a forum on the USPSA website for the elections? Oh wait, there was, and nobody used it! I don't know why. I do know that more people come here than anywhere else.

I think the YouTube video is a great idea, but it will only get so many hits. I guess if you link it to a bunch of other sites it would work. What if the proposed USPSA election forum was nothing but that? Let the candidates send their YouTube vid links to the mods and get them approved. Then the mods put the vids in a closed forum. No arguing allowed. The voting public could go there to see all the candidates videos. Just a thought.

BTW, has anyone heard of any candidates for A4?

  2. I had a good time and enjoyed shooting on Squad 14. Many thanks to the RO's, staff, and sponsors for putting on the match. AND a big thanks to LaRue for the Bar-B-Q trailer!

I did not care for the automated target system on stage 8. I think it has a variety of issues that make it unsuitable for use in 3 gun. Keep it simple so we know it works. A range full of LaRue or MGM targets works. We hear the hit, it falls down, it resets itself. Easy.

I also did not care for the 6:50am start times. We did a good bit of standing around during the day. Could some of that standing around have been prevented by a later start time? I don't know, I'm asking. What about using the half day format like we used at FNH last year? It started at 7am every day, but you were done by noon. Then the other half of the field started after lunch. The RO's ended up running the same amount of shooters per day, but only half of them were on the range at any given time.

Just some thoughts. Of course, all of this is just my opinion. I thought it was a good match and I had a good time.

Since some were posting vids, here's mine:

  3. Our stage designer has informed me that competitors will be allowed to attach a flashlight to their rifle for one of the stages. He was pretty clear that this is a shooters options and not a stage requirment.

    -ld

And this change will be allowed in all divisions...without a "Welcome to Open"?

Correct. The wording in the WSB is:

Competitors may use a flashlight with their rifle if they wish, and that flashlight may start the stage in the ON position. Flashlights may be installed for this stage only without violating rule 4.4.

I just put a 2" piece of rail on my handguard so I can slip a light on it if needed. Took about 5 minutes and cost $15. Problem solved.

  4. I saw several posts where people stated that they were going to get into FNH for a Semi Pro match. I went back and looked at the original list and it wasn't on the Semi Pro Series, but now it is. Glad they added it, because it's a great match. They also added Fallen Brethren 3G to the Semi Pro list this week (also an awesome match). Registration for FB3G starts Sunday night (3/4/12) at 8pm.

  5. I'm not sure if these questions have been answered already. If they have, will someone point me in the right direction.

    In the Divisional Series:

    1. Will 3GN take your top 3 scores for your end of the year standings, or do you need to shoot in as many of the divisional matches as you can to rack up more points?

    2. If you shoot in one of the Pro Host matches will the points there count toward your divisional points? For example: I am already entered in LaRue because it's close to home and a bunch of my friends are shooting it. I was planning on shooting the ProAm and FNH because I shot them last year and had a great time doing it. If the Pro Host matches don't count toward divisional points then I will need to shoot some more Divisional matches, correct?

    Thanks
