  1. I am a lefty shooting a P16-40 Limited and P14-45 and I am looking for a new holster. Currently using a Helweg KSL, IIRC, and it works OK but holds the gun close to my stomach and has the gun riding very high for me, I am 6'2" with long arms.

I would appreciate comments on any left handed holsters such as the CR, Ghost, Univ. Shooting Academy Pro series, Safari Land, Limcat, Aluminator, etc. on performance and ability to hold a Para securely. Thanks in advance.

  2. Just would like to get some opinions from the board on this subject. In the Allaint powder pamphlet it list a max load of Bullseye powder of 4.6g with a 200g FMJ for 945 fps in a 40 S&W.

My question is why don't more people use this combo for competition. Everywhere I read about people stating not to use fast burning powders with heavy bullets in 40 S&W but there are safe major loads listed for just about all of Allaints fast burning powders.

I have used the Bullseye with 200g FMJ in 40 S&W for major loads in a P16-40 with a 5 inch and have not had any problems.

Any opinions would be appreciated to help me understand this.

  3. I shoot 200g LTC and 200g Montana Golds. This week I made up a batch using the LTC, 3.8g Bullseye ( Max. is 4.6 from Allaints site for FMJ) and loaded mid length and made a 168 PF easily. No pressure signs that I can see and shoots really nice, Also using the same combination and 3.9 Titegroup makes major for me. I just shot a match with Blakes dad and they both use 200g bullets and it works fine for them.

  4. Also forgot to say, my gun is a Para P 16-40 Limited. As far as Bullseye and 231 being TOO FAST for a 200g, my loading data pamphlets for Alliant list a 4.6g Bullseye load as max for 945 FPS and Winchester list I believe 4.0g for 850FPS which I will try.

  5. Sorry, it is in 40 cal. I know that these are fast powders but I have pounds of this stuff on hand and would like to try these powders. I have seen one load of 4.4 TG loaded real long, but in my gun anything loaded over 1.75 OAL with a 200g just does not function realibly. I tried some with 4.0g TG at a shorter length with Federal primers and the primers flattened. Same load with WSP primers and no signs of pressure noted. Nice and accurate with snappy recoil but I have no clue as to what the FPS is.

  6. I just recieved my first case of MG 200g CMFP bullets yesterday and will be getting my chrono next week. Does anyone have a 165 PF load using Titegroup or 231 loaded to any length using this bullet. Just a starting point would be helpful and I will take it from there.
