  1. Now that you got us interested, please keep us updated.

Restored a 64-1/2 Mustang many years ago. Enjoyed it at the time but never really committed to a second project.

    I will definitely do that!!!

  2. '85 C10 is my hobby. Good amount of time and money in the old white witch. But my girl's feet on the dash make it worth it.

That is one thing they are good at is sucking up both your time and money. But in the end you are right it is all worth it

Oh....454/400. Built bolt by bolt by me. Working on interior now. Long road. Long road at 11MPG. But again, worth it.

    Very nice!!!

  3. Well, after viewing the pictures, all I can say is that you are a real, certified glutton for punishment !!! But, those will keep you off the streets and out of bars for quite awhile.

You dont know the half of it but you are right it will keep me busy for a while

  4. This is my Edge Project gun - flat-topped the slide and added serrations, Dawson posi-lock magazine release, STI oversized button, SVI small flat trigger and trigger bow, Dawson Ice magwell, FLGR and 13 lb Wolff recoil spring and Aftec extractor. Finished in Cerakote Glacier Black and grip reduced and stippled by Advanced Performance Shooting. All gunsmith work by Glenn Rasch at Lone Star Innovations

That is a Nice looking gun

  5. Purchased my first 2011 a few months back and was worried about rust forming on the blued surfaces during the summer months of competition shooting. After reading rave reviews of Cerakote I decided I'd give it a try.. I just wanted to share a few pictures of my pistols transformation with everyone and get feedback on the custom graphite bronze color I applied last week.

I have always liked the Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish seen often on different weapon platforms. I also have seen a few different companies that are marketing a darker blend of the Burnt Bronze. This really appealed to me as the standard burnt bronze color appeared to be a bit to "blingy" for my tastes so I wanted to "darken it up a bit".

Stock gun brand new just cleaned:

I first refinished the gun in standard Graphite Black. I really liked this color as it made the gun very "stealthy" or "tacticool". (I may go back to this color down the road...)

Finally the "graphite bronze" color. Simply put, I mixed Graphite Black with Burnt Bronze to achieve a slightly more subdued tone. The cool thing about this new darker shade of the Burnt Bronze is how drastically it changes color in different lights.

This is how it appears in a low lit room with standard incandescent lighting:

Here it is in a room lit with florescent lighting:

Again, same room but with more natural light added from a near by window:

Finally, how it appears in direct sunlight:

I think it turned out pretty cool - not sure if I'm going to keep it this color but non the less, it came out very interesting. What do you all think? Thanks for your feedback!

Those are some are some sweet guns!!!

  6. I have had this Advantage Arms conversion kit for a while. I just don't seem to be able to make it to the range to practice with it much.

I just got AA's weaver rail barrel "shroud" for it, so I could mount a C-more to it. The C-more is actually gray in the picture. The grips are, I think, like VZ grips...so for those interested in aesthetics there is this kinda black/gray theme going on:

I shot it the first time in competition at a local steel plate match on Saturday. It was my first time shooting a red dot in competition also. Jeesh... .... red dots sure do make it easy.

This combo above just runs and runs and runs. biggrin.gif

FWIW... that C-more has a 6 MOA dot module in it. This past Saturday, the way the range is situated for the steel plate match, the sun comes up right behind us, over our shoulders. So it is the worst possible light combination for a reflex sight. I just cranked the power all the way up on it, and it worked just fine.

That is a nice looking gun

  7. If that is the case then the only thing I can think of is to go into safe mode while booting with the F8 key or yanking the drive and dropping it into a known good system and running those programs on it.

Won't hurt to try and install them though as you never know. :)

This is also another good reason to have a secondary admin account on a box that you only use in case of emergency. I hope that it is not something that has messed too badly with the local admin permissions or Group policies. I cleaned up a box the other day that had an infestation of the "anti-virus 360" and it took a while because of how it messed with the group policies. :(

Run these three programs and it should catch any of the various versions that are out there.

First run Malwarebytes (it is *fast* and free and does a remarkably good job!)

Second Run Spybot search and destroy. (it takes a while to run but is VERY thorough and even catches some viruses!)

Third run AdAware (it is very user friendly and I now run it just to back up and catch anything that the other two do not snag first.

There are other programs out there but I have yet to find something that the combination of these three programs can not find and remove! Hope that helps!! :D

If it is the Anti Virus i am thinking of "Anti Virus 2010" it wont let him install anything.

I have cleaned many computer with Anti Virus 2010 and it is not fun
