Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Problem found---- my bellcrank cube either pops out or comes out of position. Dillon said check to see if the bellcrank screw is tight and it was. He said then there is something seriously wrong and send it in, better check to see if the body of the measurer isn't cracked which he said could be a possibility but how I have no idea , really want to thank all of you who replied and some of you multiple times (young eyes). In the meantime I'll just use one off my other calibers
  2. Just started and I have loaded over 8000 rounds with this measurer and Yes it has been rebuilt once from dillon. I'll figure it out hopefully tonight
  3. All adjustments at station 2 are spot on. Yes I can manually push it to full travel but like I said 3/4 of the way over is where it's binding
  4. I am reloading sub sonic 9mm rounds 3.6 grains of tightgroup powder. My problem is the charge bar sticks about 3/4 of the way over and fails to dispense any powder. It does return fully with no sticking but as I said it just won't go far enough to get the powder to drop. Any ideas what's causing this??
  5. I am having a problem with my failsafe rod popping out of the slotted bellcrank after my case receives the powder and I lower the shellplate. any ideas as to what causes this? Could it be the spring on the bellcrank being worn? loaded probably 8000 rounds of 10mm with this. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. ok guys I think I solved this, I just loaded 50 without any binding whatsoever. It appears my failsafe rod was NOT properly aligned with the return bracket. I loosened the lock ring on the powder measurer and gave the whole measurer a slight counter-clockwise turn to put the rod more in line. then readjusted the belling which was very little and tightened everything down. I think the problem is solved, I hope, will keep an eye on the powder die as to it sticking never knew that but hey I always learn something new on this forum when i visit here, thanks guys :-)
  7. I just purchased a RL 550B Deluxe Quick Change Assembly to load 9mm. The problem that I am having is at station 2. It seems that after my powder is dropped in the case and I am lowring the shell plate the fail safe rod gets bound up in the bellcrank housing. almost like its is totally pulling itself out of the rear portion of the bellcrank. First thoughts would be the rod is bent wrong at the z section but I load 44mag, 10mm and 45 acp all with this rod and no problems whatsoever any ideas what could be causing this?
  8. shellplate is correct #5 and the # 2 locator pins.
  9. I am having a problem with some of my cases not properly being aligned when in enters the powder die for expanding and getting charged. I am loading for my 10mm and using starline brass. I have to admit after double checking to make sure the sheel plate was aligned correctly, I still have my brass at time not properly alinged to go straight into the powder drop funnel its catching the bottom of the funnel and when pushed into the die it literally tears or crushes part of the case mouth. any ideas or thoughts??? I'm thinking the shellplate is where the issue lies because the brass seems to have some slop almost like its the wrong shellplate, any ideas fellas?????
  10. Many thanks for the fast replies, I'm going to order the 750.
  11. I am about to place an order for my first tumbler. I plan on tumbling about 500 pcs at a time for my 10mm, 45 acp or 9mm. My question is would i benefit more by ordering the 2001 as there is more capacity (I'm thinking more free room for the brass to travel around the media which would yeild a better result ) or do I have it all wrong and just order the 750???? also how many pounds of media does it take to fill the 2001 vs the 750?
  12. Can anyone tell me what the width of the strong mount is for my 550b. I am planning to mount a counter top to my wall using heavy wall brackets and would like to know how much width the mount will take up as I am trying to go as narrow as possible.
  13. I have 2 questions as I begin to load for my new 45acp and hope someone can help me out here. 1. I planned on trying some 185gr hornady xtp's with bullseye as my powder of choice but when I couldnt find the 185's I bought the 230 gr xtp's. problem is in the hornady book they dont list bullseye as a powder to use with their 230 gr xtp loads--------can I still use bullseye and just use another bullet manufactuer's data for a 230 gr bullet???? 2. I plan on using a lee factory crimp die seperatlely for the crimping of this bullet, my question is do I just crimp in the cannelure of this bullet and how heavy???? first time loading for a auto handgun load alot for my 629 smith and my rifles any advice would be greatly appreciated
