  1. Here is a video of a guy shooting a match at a USCA club in central Florida.
  2. Knight's Armament has just signed on as the Heavy Division sponsor for the 2013 Noveske Rifleworks USCA National Championship! http://www.knightarmco.com/
  3. We are pretty new to the scene. We officially went live March 17th this year. We are a 2 Gun (carbine & pistol) league with a heavier focus on the carbine over the pistol. We came into existence for a few reasons. 1) We love to shoot. The co-founders of USCA are competitive shooters. We didn’t have 3 Gun in our area but there were plenty of “Outlaw” 2 Gun matches. This got us thinking that there may be something bigger possible. See #2. 2) There are numerous 2 Gun (rifle and pistol) matches all over the country. Most run different rules. We wanted to find a way to standardize and unify these clubs. Clubs can become formally affiliated with USCA and run official USCA matches. We support our clubs passionately. If requested we will fly to wherever the club is located and help set up their first match, train their ROs and train them on our proprietary club and match management software. 3) Some people want to shoot more than one gun but aren’t ready to or don’t want to run shotguns. 4) The AR-15 platform has been on fire lately. There are a lot of proud new AR owners looking to run their ARs and we’re here to help. 5) There are a lot of guys coming home from the sandbox (Iraq and Afghanistan) and they are looking to keep their gun handling skills up. Two of our co-founders spent time in one or both wars (Marines and Air Force). We support our troops and welcome them to our matches. We’re happy to give them a place to come hang out with their friends and run guns on the clock. 6) We feel a like the time is now for a well-run, centralized, National 2 Gun league. Since we’ve been “live” (9-weeks) we’ve added 6 affiliated clubs in Florida and run hundreds of shooters through USCA matches a month. We are also fielding a good bit of club requests in other states and looking to expand as fast as possible. Also, we are currently in talks with vendors to create our own official USCA target. This will be finalized very soon and these targets will be used at Nats. They will similar in shape to USPSA and IDPA targets with slightly different scoring zones. Nationals give us a great opportunity to place ourselves in front of the shooting community and let the nation see what we’re all about. Our goal is to create an environment focused on a great shooting experience that positively promotes our sponsors who give so much to the shooting sports. If you know of a club near you that may be interested send them our way! If you’re in Florida, message me, and shoot a match with us! If you want to walk away with the title of the first ever USCA National Champion join us in Florida this November and make a run at it! If you're interested in learning how to have your company represented as a sponsor, contact us! 4. The first ever USCA National Championship is in the works: The 2013 Noveske Rifleworks USCA National Championship. The match will be in Florida Nov.15th - 17th. 280+ shooters over 9-stages. ROs shoot on the 15th. Shooters will shoot 5-stages on Saturday, the 16th, and 4-stages on Sunday, the 17th. The list of sponsors is just being formed but Noveske, Wilson Combat, Magpul, Bladetech, Viking Tactics and a few more are already confirmed. We are very close to bringing on several more gun manufacturers. The prize table will get better day by day. We're also putting together a "super squad" with several top 3-Gun competitors you all are very familiar with. The match will be "formally" announced in the next week or so and the site will be updated. Registration is opening mid-June for non-sponsored shooters. I'll also keep this thread updated with details as they emerge. Current Rulebook attached. USCA Rulebook May 2013.pdf
  5. I get a Error(403) when I try to click the link above. Rulebook attached. Facebook is the best place to keep up with all the updates: https://www.facebook.com/USCarbineAssociation Also, the first USCA Nationals has been announced: The 2013 Noveske Rifleworks USCA National Championship. Will be in Florida Nov.15th - 17th. 280+ shooters over 9-stages. USCA is also putting together a "super squad" with several top 3-Gun competitors you all are very familiar with. It will be formally announced in the next week or so and the site will be updated. Registration is opening mid-June for non-sponsored shooters. Regarding us being similar to IDPA, I understand the comparison but we don't require a fishing vest . We don't dictate how you shoot all stages (We limit the % of stages that can have "narratives") The closest thing to IDPA is the scoring. Which some would leans more towards accuracy over speed but it is a rifle league and a red dot helps. USCA Rulebook May 2013.pdf
  6. Welcome changes made to the USCA rulebook (mag length, not round count, in key divisions). Check it out! https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/USCA%20PUBLIC%20FILES/USCA%20Rulebook%20May%202013.pdf?w=AADOI6RcOCpNUSAfHTEhQSSeZHgM9_dVYDqVO6HLIrQdag
  7. They are updating the rulebook and dropping the -3. Also, to be fair to them, it is primarily a rifle league. Shooting at a target with a red dot glowing on it decreases the complexity of making a "good hit". I shot a USCA match yesterday and it was VERY fast paced. I have never run a rifle that fast. Seriously, I shot my rifle as fast i shot my pistol. It really was a ton of fun. I'd say shoot a match if it makes it to your area and see what it's really like. I appreciate those out there blazing a trail for us shooters. Giving us options. These are all volunteer sports and I'm thankful they do this.
  8. So, there is a new 2-Gun league (Rifle & Pistol) called - US Carbine Association (USCA). They are planning on having national classifications and state, area and national championships. Looks like they have web based scoring software. Sounds solid. Here is their rulebook: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v21nbdk93iv8nxn/i-ObNTs_A2/USCA%20Rulebook%20March%202013.pdf and their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/USCarbineAssociation

  10. That would make sense if I was having the same issue with the old assembly but I bought an entirely new, complete, primer assembly and am having this issue.
  11. I have a Dillon 650 that I hav loaded about 25k rounds on. All rounds have been 9mm. 3-days ago I felt a lot of resistance in the handle and gave it a push and, of course, caused an issue. A primer entered the rotary disc sideways and my "excessive force" crushed it and bent the Primer Indexing Arm. I'm in the middle of a ton of Sectional matches and had no time to diagnose the issue so I ordered an entirely new primer assembly. When I installed the new primer assembly and running the handle the rotary disc indexes properly without issue but as soon as I put ANY primers in the tube the "resistance" I felt last time, when I broke the old assembly, has returned. So, having learned my lesson, I stopped and removed the whole assembly and turned it upside down and dumped all the primers into the reloading tray. THey all came out and upon reinstalling the assembly, and not adding primers, the assembly advances as it should. BUT, the second I put primers in it locks up and will not advance. It doesnt matter if I put one primer or 100 primers in the Primer Magazine the rotary disc will not advance. So, I have a brand new primer assembly and it wont advance one single primer. I don't know what cuased the issue with the original one. I examined the area where the assembly meets the primer platform and it looks normal. I tried primers from three different lots and the issue remains. My table is rock solid. The assembly is mounted securely. It just will not advance one single primer.

  14. Here are the details: http://gunzoo.com/news/2012-GunZoo-FASTer-Bracket-Challenge 2012 GunZoo FASTer Bracket-Challenge Lots of attention has recently been drawn to the FAST Drill made famous by the guys at http://pistol-training.com/. This drill tests a variety of skills that any shooter needs to take his or her game to the next level. 15. Could you add me to the race? Production 66.78% - Mrgreentie (A70035) Thanks for doing this! It makes it that much more fun!
  16. I was super happy to wake-up and see I hit B class. Now it's on to A! Everyone was telling me "Don't be in a rush to get bumped to B-class. It's a blackhole you may never get out of." Well, I say those are the ones who refuse to put in work, at home, everyday. I'm set on hitting A-class this year!
  17. So I know the term "best" is broad and very subjective so let me be a little more specific as to what I consider attributes of the "best" 1. Trigger pull 2lbs or less 2. Very short pre and over-travel 3. Crisp break 4. Smooth pull devoid of scraping, crinking, catching, looseness, etc. I have a Vanek Classic in my Production Glock 34 and I do like it but there are several things that bother me. Firstly, it has a "rolling" break. The trigger pull weight isn't terrible (It averages 3.5lbs on a trigger pull gauge) but it could be lighter. Finally, it has a good amount of pre-travel. So, what are my options for a trigger I can buy, for a Limited G35 I'm building? Is there anyway to have an absolutely amazing trigger in a Glock?
  18. So I bought 3 CR Versa Mag Pouches to go with my EAA Witness Limited 40 S&W and I cannot figure out what combination of insert to use to enable me to place a mag in this pouch. If I use the STI/Para insert it is too loose. If I use the CZ/Beretta insert it is too tight. Any help you can provide would be great.
  19. The Witness Limited is polygonal. Is there any issues with leading in these barels? I'd like to train with lead but some are saying lead in the Limited is a big problem.
  20. My only concern with WIN231 is pressure. I know I'd have to load near max recommended load to make major. Is this even a valid concern?
  21. I have about 5lbs of WIN231 laying around and I'm thinking of using it to load 180grain Precision Deltas for my Limited pistol. Is WIN231 worth it or should I buy a jug of Unique or SOLO 1000 and avoid the headache?
  22. Well...I broke down and bought the Blade-tech DOH. I decided to purchase it after realizing I'd need to buy another holster for 3 Gun so I figured I might as well have a holster I can run around with and not worry about my gun falling out. Pretty amped about getting this gun running in local USPSA matches.
