  1. I've never tried Techwear shirts and I'm sure they are of great quality.

But I've ordered my shooting jersey from G2Gemini and don't regret it.

The jersey is of excellent quality, design and performance, very light, breathable and moisture vicking.

It really keeps you cool in hot days.

I've ordered ready made design for STI with additional logos. Also, good thing about G2Gemini is that they don't need written proof from each of your sponsors with permission to wear they logos, just tick the box in order form.

Design approval took only a week and in three weeks the jersey was shipped.

Statement: I'm not promoting this company, just sharing my positive experience.

  2. I also use micrometer insert. Seems to me that the numbers are for your reference only, to remember what combination of digits refers to your desired powder charge.

It can't show your actual charge weight, because all powders has different shape and weight, so in the same wolume different powder brands will make different weight.

    Just my thoughts...

  3. I would like to load some 160gr lead bullets ( http://www.thebulletworks.net/160-gr-9mm-Round-Nose-bullet-p/09-160%20rn.htm) I'm currently using WSF and VV N320, does anyone have any loading data for this bullet and the powders I'm using?

    Thanks

    Lee

  4. Big thanks to you guys for posting this LEE setup info.

That thing is amazing and it really works! Fills the tube in a couple of seconds.

Especially when it's cheaper than dirt.

My regards to Dillon primer filler. :P

P.S. Looking forward to see some homemade case feeder design for LNL AP, as cheap and as easy to make like primer filler.

  5. Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a LNL AP press and have a few questions before I switch from my 650. I've done what I can to research these questions but haven't been able to get a good answer yet and no one close to me runs one.

First off, is there any type of signal or something to tell you when you are out, or nearly out of primers? My Dillons have an audible buzzer that sounds when you get low. Is there something comparable to this on the Hornady press? Second, if you go to a powder thru expander in the powder thrower, can you move the thrower to station 2. That is, next to the sizing station? I want to put 3 dies after the powder thrower as I do on my current press and was not sure if this was possible. 3rd, what all is involved in changing the case feeder over from caliber to caliber. Like say, from .40 s&w to .223. (Two of the calibers I'll be loading on this press.) On my Dillon 650, there are a couple pieces/bushings and a feeder plate that needs swapped. I know there is are different case feeder plates for the Hornady case feeder but what about on the press side. Do you have to change anything else over? Lastly, is there a spare parts package you can purchase that contains commonly broken parts? I bought the spares kit for my 650 and it's saved my baken a couple times. I know Hornady like Dillon will replace the part, even if it's operator error but what do you do when it's 6pm the night before a match??

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

Have a look at this link with my post #25:

    http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101535

There are pictures with my setup for LNL AP that could help to answer your questions.

I've loaded over 10K of 9x19, not a single broken part.

But it is good to have some spare springs and don't need them, than the other way.

Powderfunnel works great, but I'm not sure that it will fit .223

    Regards,

    Erik

  6. Here is my solution for Hornady L-N-L AP 5 station setup for 9x19:

    post-19386-127023772289_thumb.jpg

    1st. Resize and decap (Hornady)

2st. PTX and Hornady powder charge (PTX from Powderfunnels.com)

    3st. Powder Check Die (Dillon)

    4st. Bullet seating (Hornady)

5st. Crimp (LEE Factory Crimp Die)

As many times prowed - Hornady PTX doesn't work.

So I've tried PTX from Powderfunnels.com and it works perfectly, with easy setup process.

You can easily adjust case mouth expanding as much as you need.

Dillon Powder Check Die is probably the best thing on the market to monitor powder charges.

Needs little fitting job to work on L-N-L, but it is not that hard if you have Dremel at hand.

Also Dillon Primer Early Warning is attached, works great.

This set-up works flawlessly for me, hope this will help for someone else.

    Best regards,

    Erik

  7. Question to those of you who have experience using Federal Small Magnum Pistol #200 primers for 9x19 minor loads.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages vs Federal Small Pistol #100 primers, any change in PF? Price is the same.

I'm asking this because I found in Federal 2009 Ammunition&Ballistics catalog that they use only #200 primers for 9x19 cartridges, which they load themselves. If they do so for theyr ammo, maybe there is some reason behind it?

    Please share your experience.

    Thanks

  8. The standard 3-die set (assuming you are reloading straight-walled pistol cases) includes a resizer, expander, and seater. You can also buy them individually. I always expand the cases. With copper bullets, you can just expand a little. With lead, you must expand more. I usually expand just enough to hold the bullet without needing my fingers to guide the bullet/case into the seating die.

If you want, you can powder-drop and expand in the same station. If you choose to do that, you will need a different expander, call the powder-through expander. It fits inside the powder measure and lets the powder drop through it while it expands the case mouth. For some reloaders, combining the expander and powder drop makes room for other features (such as a bullet feeder or powder check).

What is strange to me is that Hornady doesn't sell the dies in 4-die sets. I think the 4th die should be the crimp die. Almost everyone uses separate dies for seating and crimping, so it makes sense. In fact, you could argue that most people also use powder-through expanders, and the included stand-alone expander is almost never wanted anyway.

In my LNL for 38 super, I use:

    Station 1: Resize (and deprime)

Station 2: Powder drop + expander

Station 3: Empty (for powder cop or bullet feeder)

    Station 4: Seat bullet

    Station 5: Crimp bullet

    If I had a stand-alone expander, I would:

    Station 1: Resize (and deprime)

    Station 2: Expand

    Station 3: Powder Drop

    Station 4: Seat Bullet

    Station 5: Crimp bullet

For 45ACP, I'm a little less picky and seat+crimp at the same station. I have a set of Lee dies from my last press, including a lee powder-through expander/powder measure. I think the Lee powder-through expander is easier to adjust than the Hornady. However, the Hornady powder measure is the most consistent one I've used.

    Station 1: Resize (and deprime)

Station 2: Powder drop and expand

    Station 3: Empty

    Station 4: Seat and Crimp

    Station 5: Empty

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Jeff686,

What brand is your dies? Are there a big difference between Hornady, LEE or Redding?

I'm asking because of your experience with L-N-L, need advice on dies purchase (brand and models) for 9x19, please.

Also I've heard that smaller pistol metering insert is sufficient for exact powder loads, is that true?

    Appreciate your valued reply.

    Best regards.

  9. Just wondering if there are anymore feedbacks regarding this product? :D

Just yesterday I've finished fitting job on my new alu grip.

This is a great item to upgrade your gun.

    P.S. My first post, sorry.

I wanted to upload an image of my race gun, but with no success :(

    Are there any magic word?

    Advice is appreciated.
