  1. Today I installed an 11-pound spring and went to test fire. (only spring I had)

it ran some of my 110pf but a few that didn't cycle were NOT stove pipes as I had from the stock heavy spring. The bullet that didn't enter the chamber was resting on the feed ramp in a downward position, as if it didn't strip as it should off the mag.

The spent casings that cycled flew about 3-4 feet at a 45-degree angle to me.

recommendations??? is the 11 too light or not light enough? I'm thinking I need to be heavier, as there is not enough forward speed on the slide.

    Thanks,

    Phil

  2. I recently purchased a metal 2.0 Competitor. I have a Docter Optic, but the problem is the rear iron sight blocks access to the adjustment locking screws on the optic.

I wanted to just remove the rear sight; however, it is also used to hold down the firing pin blocker pin/spring.

Does anyone make a dovetail with no sight for this application?

    Thanks,

I don't want to see this sport go the way of sporting clays

Not sure what this comment was actually referring to, but I was a sporting clay shooter for many years, however if you travelled to big shoots, (which I did) and shot the entire program, it would be near impossible to walk the course and stay on schedule.

I did this motorized cart for the fun of it, take it for what it's worth.

  4. I have run it on a single charge for a 2-day match, however I will try and charge it overnight if I can. I also can plug it into the AC plug of my truck, but short rides from the hotel to the range won’t do much.

It has never died at a match requiring a tow; however I do carry a spare battery that I have never needed to swap out, but batteries don’t last forever so my day is coming.

Stay tuned for the solar panel charger!

  5. Very disappointed with the 2022 World Steel in Alabama/USPSA and Practiscore. I was on Practiscore when registration started, (7:00:01) which locked me out from registration.

With numerous attempts I finally was able to log in at 7:27 only to be notified the match was full and I can go on the waiting list.

What really sucks about it; 1 person can sign up for 5 guns for example, when people are on the waiting list and can't even sign up to shoot 1 gun!

Their Directors and President are very friendly and helpful on the phone or via email communication, however it still doesn't change the fact that many of us got screwed for registration, and will never get in.

They should scratch the registration, fix the Practiscore server, and restrict numerous entries until no person is on the waiting list.

  6. I guess i may have answered my own question. Installed a Henning short reach trigger for the wife and adjusted out some of the over-travel, and even though the hammer falls, I may have went to far. The gun will not fire.

    anyone have experience with this?

  7. I have 3 STI guns, 2 were brand spanking new and 1 had 150 rounds through it from a local guy I know. Cleaned them, oiled them well, and shot matches typically around 175-200. Cleaned it and started the cycle over after every match. I have 3 reliable STI guns. I use SLIP 2000 and wet it down good on the barrel and rails.
