There are a lot of different stock options on an MPX that may change this. The factory I beam stock on mine was very uncomfortable and had no good place for a cheek weld so I put a regular AR buffer tube and stock on mine which raised my head a lot from the stock configuration. I'm also running a 510 optic

Thanks, I already run an ar tube with a VLTOR IMOD.

    I question that statement.

I load Xtreme bullets and can destroy a 1" orange target dot at 25yds.( with a Bushnell dot )

6" at 25yds seems a bit of a stretch, unless you possess the one barrel in the free world that pukes out plated bullets ?

I shot Xtreme exclusively for years and have had several bad batches as well as others in our club who did group buys. Multiple guns and multiple shooters with the same issues. Bellow pics are the same gun, same day, same shooter (me), same ammo components (except bullets). The only thing that changed was Xtreme bullets and Everglades Bullets. Not sure what else to tell you.

  3. My glock mags are the limiting factor for me 1.150 OAL so i load everything to that length. Works great in my 1911, M&P, XDM, and of course Glock. I have also used 1.135 with the same result. Im sure I could fine tune the loads for the guns but I didn't find the need. They all feed reliably, have the level of accuracy I want, and its way easier than having to keep track of what 9mm ammo goes with which gun. The only exception to this is that I try to make my 9mm Major look as different as possible (OAL and I used Hollow Points) to avoid any mishaps.

  4. "Shooting a 65 grain Zero jacketed bullet over 4.6 grains of N320" I assume you mean 165 grain bullet...?

Like you said check the magazine. Is it always on the reload? Are you slowing the slide down by pushing on it with any fingers / etc? Do the bullets feed smoothly when you let the slide down slow?

  5. I can only get 19 in mine. If I manage to jam in a 20th, they won't seat in the gun with the slide forward. I whittled on the followers too. I emailed TTI about it and they told me there are "issues" with older mags. Their fix was to advise me to buy new mags.

My mags are brand new gen 4 mags, so maybe there are issues with new mags too. I didn't get a chance to call them today.

  6. I had the same issue. I tried them on my g17 mags for my g34 and got a full 23 rounds in the mag. Turns out I needed them for the 9mm mags anyways, so I just left them on the g17 mags, but I may end up getting some more and try to tune them per the videos.

    Glad this got posted.

I just tried them in the 9mm and they work fine. Must be something to do with the 40 S&W like you said.

  7. I looked at the video and I had to also radius the front of the follower a lot. On the 18th rounds it kinda make a click and pushed past something. Now I can squeeze a 20th rounds in but it is so tight it will not load into the gun. Ill call Taran Tactical tomorrow and see if they can help.

  8. i can fit 20 tight in new mags, and 20 reloadable in pre-ban mags with different followers.

i recommend watching that dawson video about sanding the bottom back of the followers. Some of mine have a hump to get past round 18.

Ill try that now and see in that helps.

  9. My Glock bullets are loaded to 1.145 and I can only get 18 in them in the tube with the Taran Tactical large base pad. The 18th round I has to be pushed very hard, even bending my speed loader, which I have never had to use before. What OAL are people using with these base pads? Could that be the problem? Are there any other Ideas? I have already taken off the edges of the follower with no success and im using the springs that came in the bag with them.

    Thanks

  10. I have owned both and sold the new Para Pro Comp 40. The STI was not as pretty as the para (ionbond) but it had better fit and had better fit parts. The para needs complete new parts for the trigger and the STI needs a little spring tuning. Also on the Para the firing pin stop looked looked like it had no hand fit and was hammered into slide (hard) it also had a loose barrel bushing (compared to the STI). The Para broke after the first 150 rounds. When it got back from warranty I sold it. Thanks my .02 anyway. Good luck.

  11. I own a technology consulting company and work with Mac, Windows, and Linux. Just remember they are all just operating systems on the same hardware (for the most part) and they all have their pros and cons. Macs have a great user friendly operating system but just dont drink the kool-aid. They absolutely don't "just work". I could write about 10 pages on things they are not compatible with and cant do. Admittedly mostly in a mixed business environment with Active Directory, networking issues. Mac people will tell you that they can just run a virtual machine and I say if they have to do that they just over paid for the same hardware only to have to run windows anyway. Additionally VMware vitalization software for Mac is gimped and not as full featured and can cause some big issues if trying to manage a virtualized server infrastructure. Also, they can and do get viruses and malware but substantially less. Remember most viruses these days are designed to make money and not to change your desktop background or something stupid. Hundreds of thousands of Macs were infected for years and no one new about it. Apple business practices with user agreements, not fixing knows security issues for long periods of time, always passing the buck and responsibility when something goes wrong, banning people from their forums who talk about defective software / hardware, and etc make them more like "big brother" than the stylish alternative to the status quo they that advertise to be. Opinions very greatly on some of this though and this is just my experience working with them for 25 years.

However... You may not think that I hate mac, which I don't. In fact, I recommend macs all the time. Their closed ecosystem nature makes them more stable, although windows is getting much better in this regard. They are easier to learn, more stylish, and are true innovators in the technology world. The Iphone and Ipad have changed how we use technology today. Additional, I really like the Macbook Air and when they come out with one that has retina display and 8gb RAM ill probably get one, nothing windows has comes close to this machine.

  12. Looks like a great gun. Wick question though.I have been trying to call and email APW for about a month now and no one answers the phone or email. The last one asked if they were still in business and to please respond with anything. Still nothing back... Did you have any trouble contacting them? Any Ideas?

    Thanks

No trouble contacting them at all. The office manager, Melinda is really nice and helpful. Bobby gave me a call to confirm a few things during installation as well. No problems to report from me.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack thread. I called them and they answered the phone right away. Not sure what the issues was before. Thanks
