I read a book a good some years ago called "zen in the martial arts". it was simple and great in expressing how we practitioners attain the spiritual.
for so long people fake it and never attain it.
for martial artist it tends to go physical, mental(emotional), spiritual.
example: when i train on the heavy bag i am creating solid body habits. throwing every blow as if was the last one ever. this excellence is cultivating the mind as well and soon is reflected in all you do on the physical plain. the two feed each other for they are the same, inseperable indeed. i mentioned the emotional because, well, some logic and reason must prevail when we dont get enough sleep...get it?
you know that the principal of zen is entering you into the spiritual realm when the principal is applied to your entire life. the way you talk, the way you walk, anyhting, everything not just the arts.
you are subject to it when you cant function outside of it.
just wanted to add to this forum...i like it alot
