Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I am no expert, and have only reloaded 400 rounds so far in my short career but I am using Unique powder and Berry Double Struck Plated bullets. I shoot the 115 gr RN Berry bullets out of my Sig P226. I use 5 gr of Unique and my OAL is 1.154-ish. Not a single issue thus far. I find 5 gr is very mild on recoil and pretty accurate. For what it is worth, at least I can tell you that 5 gr of Unique functions fine with 115 gr bullets.
  2. So I read an older article about reloading 223 ammo. The author says he prefers Winchester WSR primers for his reloads used in his AR because they are hard primers and are very close to military primers. I was at my local gun shop and he had boat loads of Winchester WSR primers. Cool. I bought 1000. Then, I read an article that today's Winchester WSR brass colored primers should NOT be used in reloads to be used in ARs because they are softer and there is risk of slam fires. I looked at some Winchester WB 5.56 ammo I had in the closet and it has brass colored primers and appear to be WSR primers like I bought. So, has anyone used Winchester WSR brass colored primers in reloads shot in ARs? Any problems or issues? Thanks for any input.
  3. Hi, does anyone load 115 gr 9mm Berry Round Nose Double Struck bullets? I have CCI 500 orimers, Alliant Unique powder and Rem brass. Any tips for powder charge of Alliant Unique? Berry's suggests keeping the velocity below 1200 fps. I guess I should load these RN DS bullets as if they are lead bullets? Thanks
