Hi guys, what's the lightest gen 3 uncaptured SS guide rod for a fat G34 that needs to go on a diet. I have a Wolff and it's 1.5oz. Anything lighter than that?

I want to buy a BOSS hanger for my Bladetech DOH Stingray Glock 34 belt holster for Production. Went to the Ben Stoeger website and was faced with these choices: 1) Spacer: Standard (1/2) or Short (1/4) or Long (3/4) ... which to choose? 2) Mount: Standard or TekLok (+$10) or ComTac PLM (+$9) ... what is this? I looked on the Taylor website and they have springs for +5 and +10. I wonder if I should get the heavier +10 one?

Thanks guys. I was going to buy some Wolff +10% springs from Brownells and give it a shot. Is there really a difference between these and the Taylor springs?

Hey guys, help me out please. I'm testing two Arredondo extended base pads for 17-round 9mm mags using the supplied springs. I was able to get 22-23 rounds in and they fed fine except the slide didn't lock back on last round. Any clue?

Gents, I’m running an Eotech mounted on an AR. I have a question on what’s the right way to break the first shot on the first target. Say, from the low ready, should I: 1) What I’m doing now: lower my head to optain the cheekweld, bring muzzle up to acquire target, I tend to overshoot the muzzle rise – moving up past the target’s head, moving back down again to the chest, and then Bang. I feel I’m wasting time doing the up then down thing. 2) Or is it better to: bring muzzle up slowly from the target’s crotch, easing it to the chest and then Bang. Thanks for any suggestions.

Based on the responses regarding how my gun is tipped up too high - I adjusted and sure enough, noticed a huge improvement in how smooth the mag just "glides" in. I didn't even know that I canted too much before and the mag would bump into the well before going in, wasting precious time. Who woulda thought a simple picture can be so educational. Thanks a bunch guys.

I'm short!

When doing a magazine change, I keep my gun in front of my face, eyes to the magwell. What I’m not sure is how much to tip the gun for optimum ease of entrance for the new mag. So please look at this picture and tell me what my eyes should be seeing – 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Inputs from Ms and GMs are highly sought after. Thank you. (I will post this thread to GT and BE forums)

I was having this same problem until I discovered I was stuffing 11 rounds into my 10 rounders. The witness holes are misaligned, the 10th round doesn't register in the hole but the 11th one does. I wasn't counting back then, just stuffing and eyeballing the witness hole. Now I count to 10 and the jams disappear.

Please tell me the pros and cons of using a ported barrel (ala 24C) vs. a threaded on comp?
