Any idea on cost? Hopefully less than a g.

Excellent, thank you. This is production/CO legal?

How are you guys running this for CO? Just swapped some TF extensions on my mecgar mags and the retention screw for the extension is hitting the lanyard loop to the point of basically being unusable. What is the work around for this?
-
I forgot to mention I have a full length, two piece guide rod sitting at home somewhere. Got it at a match. Should I swap that in with some springs to play with? I think it's a Wilson. I shoot an almost identical 9mm load to the one mentioned earlier in the thread.
-
I'm ordering one of these in 9mm through a group purchase. I've never owned a 1911 anything, so this should be fun. Trigger jobs pretty easy to do? I usually play with CZ's. Do yall use the ICE magwells with or without the gap? I plan on purchasing mags from dawson.

The grip feels awkward to me as well. I shot an M&P and then an SP-01, both of which have palm swells.

I stayed at a holiday inn last night and watch a bunch of Walter Sorrells videos. Does that count? Seriously though, I love a nice knife but have never attempted to make my own.
-
Interesting note ctay. I wouldn't expect such a small and plastic gun to be "heavy." I still want to check one out though (along with the others mentioned of course)!
-
I've never shot one, but a Kriss Vector may be another option. Seems like a pretty cool little gun. https://www.kriss-usa.com/

So for a competition only gun, would it be more beneficial to buy a base g34 and mill the slide or buy the MOS?

My cgw short reset kit runs fine with the factory hammer but it will not work with the czub hammer. Anyone else run into this issue? Also running the cgw roller and increased sear spring.

I'm using a springer precision mount on my P 09, it's the one for the CZ75, not the shadow, that works. It's loose going in but the mount comes with loctite and set screws. Mine hasn't budged and it's taking a beating being a .40.
Did you loctite the fore/aft set screws as well as the actual mounting screws?

Well, CZ won't send me a p-09 because of this stupid 15rnd magazine law in CO and I can't find any locally. Anybody want to sell me one without mags? I think it's either that or wait for some x-cal's to start showing up...although I'd rather have a p-09...
THey have a 10rd model of the P-09. You can get the mags on their website.
Thanks man, I actually found one locally that had blocked magazines.
Also, I emailed Springer about a p-09 specific mount and they don't currently have one. CZ75 should work fine though.

Buds has them and they need to move before I spend more mony

I plan on shooting it this year. Still waiting on a burris and holster for my new p-09
-
Hahaha. What about a phantom?
-
Good stuff. What kind of dovetail mount does the Burris use? Here are some optic weights that come from manufacture websites.
Vortex Venom 1.1 oz
Leupold Delta Point 0.6 oz Sight window: 26mm x 19mm
RMR 1.2 oz
JPoint 0.5 oz Sight Window: 21.6mm x 15.4mm
Burris Fastfire 3 0.9 oz Sight window: 21x15 mm

What kind off holsters are you guys using for your optic guns?
-
I like the idea, but per the rules the hammer must be "fully decocked" at the start signal.
The CZ mil price is pretty awesome, so I'll be ordering one here shortly. I'm still not sure what sight I want. I know it won't be an RMR (cost) or an RTS (too many horror stories).
Where do you buy your mil priced czs at?
Direct from CZ. Send them an email asking about their military program. Let me know if they don't respond and I'll send you some info.

CZ's website says the p09 comes shipped with a decocker installed but can be converted to manual safety easily. Is this production legal?
As I mentioned in the other thread, I was pretty set on a G34 but now I'm reconsidering as I do love some CZ.

From Rick Steele, Area 5 Director
"We talked about this at the Board meeting. We are trying to make it easy for the shooter to try the Division without putting out a lot of money. If you machine the slide for the dot and then remove the dot, you will need to fill the machined area with a plate of similar material (steel in most cases) to make it look like a production gun. That will probably depend on how deep you machine the slide. Troy McManus will be the deciding factor as we walk through the issues in this new division.
Since this is a provisional division the ruling on that may change but that is what the Board talked about at the meeting. You can also use a dovetail mount. It will make the dot a little higher than normal sights but it is very easy to return it to a Production gun."I do kind of have an issue with this statement in that there are many production shooters who have sold off their plastic guns in favor of >35oz steel guns. I think they may be excluding a large number of folks that would be willing to try a dot on a CZ or TF. Even though I started this thread, I don't plan on purchasing another firearm just to shoot a provisional division.

How you liking it? I'm interested in a bl purchase and the 17, 34 and 45 are all considerations for me. It might be a little dated now, but I have a burris fastfire that I plan on running.
