  1. Thanks Matt, did the same trick with filling up the dog space with a piece of coke can, coke zero actually It helped indeed but it didn't take away all the thunking. I guess the thunking is now 50% less and I presume the rest is due to the play in the bearings. thanks Matt for the tip. Peter
  2. just a half year old and had not more than 7000 through it
  3. @probike the swager is not the problem, the play in the bearings is. Brian if you're reading this, can you step in please? Does Dillon know of this problem?
  4. ok, didn't get that, but that's what I would like to know too
  5. was mentioned in first post Steve, 3 BH-1610 Roller Bearings Dillon part nr #11008 see Super 1050 Lower Machine Assembly drawing on Dillonprecision.com
  6. there's an awful lot of play in the bearings of my almost new 1050. I can literally move the handle sideways and see and feel the play. This is absolutely what causes the thunking. If anybody from Dillon is reading this, can they comment please? Is the play meant to be there? Is there a factory solution? Do we have to solve it ourselves as Mythos did?
  7. there's a lot of play in the bearings. Does Dillon offer better/upsized bearings? If not then I've got to go for the same solution as Mythos.
  8. Is it really normal and shouldn't I worry? Mine doesn't spill powder.
  9. No sorry, it doesn't. Same problem with my 1050, thunking/clunking on the sizing and swaging station on the upward stroke, when the brass pops out of the die. There's a lot of play in the bearings which seems to cause the clunking/thunking. My 1050 hasn't produced more than 4000 rounds. And a tight cap doesn't help. peter
