Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. What brand is more popular that everyone uses for a timer. I need to get one. Is the CED 7000 the only model around? Thanks
  2. Found a Edge for $1649 but there out of stock, where else is a good place to buy these STI's?
  3. I found the mags, but can't see how much they are.
  4. So are all these models good for the Steel Challenge also? How many does the .40 hold in this double stack model, I don't see where it says.
  5. Thanks, a few questions were cleared up. I have looked on the web at the STI's, but there are so many of them it gave me a headach to figure which would be good for limited class. What other brands are good to use? Preferred hi-cap in limited class. Just so you all know I haven't messed with a 1911 since the early 90's, so I'm learning this all over again.
  6. OK, I have been reading alot around this forum. Now I am seeing but getting confused that your gun has to be under a certain weight? I am going to get a Para, but not sure what model yet,I wanted a hi-cap model and I dont plan on shooting SS, just Limited, doing some research first. Now since I have read that the PXT extractor is no good, I need to change it out or buy a different model Para right? So between changing parts out and weight I don't know what to do. By the way in the 1911 frames, does the .40 and .45 have about the same recoil? Not sure what caliber to get either. Please help with this. Thanks

    Para magazines?

Sounds good I stick with the para mags. I'm a 1911 shooter so I'm trying to figure out what I want or need. So the older paras are better, or is there a new model that is worth having? I know the .40 cal is popular, how much recoil is the difference between that and the .45? Thanks

    Para magazines?

I am thinking about buying the PXT 16-40 from Para and wondered if there was other mags on the market that worked well for a cheaper price than the mags you can buy from Para? There $49 for the 16rd.. This is also my first 1911 model in years and I'm hoping to use it in the limited SPSC and USPSA. Any help will be appreciated.
