  1. I really like my X-Macro, i just added a Holosun 507k to it, for a carry sized pistol it shoots surprisingly small groups, the trigger is very good out of the box, does the compensated slide make a difference, maybe.  Before adding the Holosun I used a G43 pocket holster for it, I am in the market for a leather pocket holster cut for the red dot now

  2. I have a love hate relationship with my GSG1911, it’s stupid fun to shoot, with Taylor Tactical guts in the mags they hold 16 rounds, a McFadden Loader makes loading a breeze, now the downsides, it’s very cheaply made, all mim of the lowest quality (Sig 1911-22 are made by GSG and are no better), reliability is 90%, you have to be extremely careful on support hand placement, and I experience light strikes, on rounds 2-3, a new firing pin may solve that, and it makes no difference if the mags are stock or hold 16, accuracy is ok given the ammo available, I own a Infinity 9/40 pistol, and a highly tuned STI 9, the GSG trigger sucks, the stock sights suck, every time you change ammo brand the poi shifts significantly requiring a front sight change which are included, I added the GSG scope mount with a Razor 3 MOA dot(dot is too small) that at least the in the acceptable range.

  3. IMHO Uber clean brass is over rated, especially in the precision rifle game, I have cleaned brass every way possible, now all I do is tumble in walnut media, clean shinning brass does not reload to better ammo, but is more time consuming ammo, less time reloading means more time shooting.

  4. I have read the book, watched the 1984 version countless times, so when the new version was finally released on HBO Max I was eager to see it.

    ***Spoiler***

I had no idea this was part 1, so part 2 and possibly part 3 are coming.

  5. I have a F12, its a nice easy to maintain shooter, but mine has been less than reliable with what little ammo that is available after 500 rounds.

1 issue is my barrel was sheering off the edge of the shell, Typhoon sent me a video of taking a file to take off the sharp edge off, that 100 % fixed that issue

2 with Win AA 1350fps shells it is almost perfect, with any other brand, especially those 1200fps or less its a single shot, I did trim off the recoil spring 2 full coils, that helped but its still not perfect

3 it recoils significant harder than my Benelli/HK M1 and Benelli M2, I just changed the butt stock to a Magpul MOE, and a Limbsaver recoil pad is in bound

4 keeping it clean, especially the gas ports is required

5 I simply don't trust it enough to use it in a match yet, my Infinity pistol took 3000 rounds for me to trust it, after 500 shells of varying brands its getting there

things I like are the style, the Holosun 510 on top of it, RIA mags are GTG, and cheaper than Typhoon brand mags

  6. I have had my HK M1 for a few decades, and I built a M2 from pieces mostly off eGay, shoulder it hard in the shoulder pocket, and you won't notice the recoil with 1100 fps ammo.  Also keep the recoil tube inside the stock clean and well lubed with oil, it may take heat to break it loose from the receiver and heat to break the threaded end cap loose to clean everything.

  7. The old non uniform trim length, it doesn't matter accuracy wise.  I have used my Giraud for 10 years, it indexes off the shoulder, so consistent trim lengths are achieved by consistent bumping of the shoulder, I set my trim length .010 from end of chamber, my 308 trim length is 2.025, 223/556 is 1.765, stop worrying about trim length, its not what causing your misses.

  8. My employer decided to take away vacation, and replace it with PTO(paid time off), instead of taking our earned vacation for the year, and filling up the PTO bank which is earned monthly, my Airline cut me a check for 5 weeks pay, my SVI 9/40 sight tracker was basically free, so for me the buy was totally worth it.
