I know someone that has one, well the guy has the top of the line Mark 7 Revolution and yes it’s more robust, runs smooth as butter, it’s very well made CNC vs Cast parts of the Dillon. More stations, it’s a serious serious machine but at 10k it should be!  I’m just interested in the manual one for now. I know that Dillon came out with the 1100 but it’s still a cast made press. Dillon has one thing going, it’s name and reputation but those days are over.

    What is wrong with cast?

  2. After a couple of searches I was surprised not to find anything on long distance target cameras to help see the. BULLET holes from 500 yds out..sure I must have done something wrong. I am looking at a couple on line and the Target Master seems better then the Bullseye because of higher resolution and works with iOS. Anyone had experience with this new technology and care to make a recommendation?

  3. There seems to be a theme starting. I know they are more expensive but in general do the VV powders seem to be more accurate and clean burning as a whole?

Yep. More $ but cleaner and more consistent, less unburnt powder and less flash. Vv is the rolls Royce of powders. :)
Yep. I found the 3n38 had 3 duplicates in one string of 10rds.

What do you mean by "three duplicates"?

  4. Most accurate for me in a 1911 38super is 125 zero conical or 125 HAP over 8.5 gr V V N105 with Winchester sp, or 8.4gr with Federal Gold Medal 100. OAL 1.25

I guess we should clarify we are shooting plain 1911 w/5" barrel at minor velocities. Not race guns....

  5. I find I try all other powders and come back to VV. more expensive but clean, low flash and accurate

Probably use n320 most for 45, n340 for all others, n320 for 9mm and now 38Super sometimes. N340 is hard to beat...I'm just trying to get accuracy....not perfection, just accurate enough to know if it's me or the gun...also meters great in a progressive!

  6. Ha, I stand corrected. These are all at .354 even. I will have to eliminate all bell and try. I'm not at my shop but I wonder what the interior width is of a resized 9mm case with no bell? The way they dropped deep into the case I assumed they would still not work because I had very little bell to take up. I think I may have to raise the case sizer at the swage station on 1050 as well. 7. I have 7,500 Remington 130 gr FMG RN bullets advertised on box as being .356 for 38 Super. Almost all are coming in at .354". I can't return them because I bought them so long ago, I can't remember where I got them. They drop too deep in my 38 Super case to get a good crimp and fit...

Anyone had this problem? Can I use them in 9mm with no bell? I have tried to contact Remington directly but just get an automated response from emails referring me to a Dealer...anyone have a contact at Remington? It appears I will sell them for scrap....c

  8. Both powders meter well.

    Titegroup is cleaner than Bullseye-subjectively.

I've found Titegroup capable of good accuracy with 230 gr. bullets (but prefer WST in reduced/"target loads").

Plated bullets will not be as accurate as FMJ/JHP or cast/coated lead IME. The H&G 200 gr. SWC is an old school favorite for a reason; accuracy.
