What is your goal of moving to the smaller sight, weight savings?
-
Good info guys! I'm a noob want-a-be Open Class shooter and will be doing some experimenting with loads.
P.S. - Dan, I don't plan to blow up my new gun you built for me!
-
I'm saving up Honey-do credits for a Harley! It is gonna take a couple of years at this pace.
-
I am also near sighted and got both the Wiley and Decot and have to tell you the folks at Decot can set your Rx correctly for shooting. They modify the Rx your doctor gives you so you can still see the front sight which is one of the most important part of shooting I'm finding out.
Your won't be sorry with Decot!
P.S. - The Wiley's are now my motorcycling glasses.

The finalist are definitely strong contenders and have all contributed to my knowledge.
G-Bart's idea of donating the money from the press to the Juniors is a true sign of class and definitely gets my vote!

Man I would love to go to Circleville but can't make that and Oxford. Only one kitchen pass per weekend.

+1 for bullets back
-
Sounds like good stuff that I can throw into my sessions, thanks!

Webber hands down! I got tired of replacing the burners every other year and broke down and bought a Webber 10 years ago and haven't looked back.

While how the bullets would perform for self defense is an interesting question, I think Corey's "man killer" comment has made up my mind!

You gotta love it!

Yup, I use 165 gr. .45's Federal loads for my CDP 3" Kimber carry. That load rattles my teeth every time I shoot the gun. I am moving up to a 4" Wilson with hopes of saving my teeth.
The 165 gr 45's at 1,000 fps are violent out of a 3" gun.

I use a 12x42 NSX on my GA Precision 308 and often don't need my spotting scope inside of 300 yards.

Any idea how we scored at this event I haven't seen any results?

Good job Sandman! I realize you wanted nothing in return which is why the deed was especially good, but too bad you didn't have and NRA sticker to give her!

Nice piece!

I am a martial arts instructor and find that women pick things up faster then guys because of the "clean plate" or unbiased start Benos mentioned above. However, the guys will often catch up and surpass the ladies because of their competitive spirit and physical coordination. (This does not apply in all cases - I have some really good female students that can thump the guys)
Natural Athlete - picks up just about any physical sport and is competitive quickly because of their coordination and competitive drive.
Technical Athlete - works hard and is disciplined to practice until they are proficient or good.
Just my experience as an instructor for 25 years. I've sent 2 teens to the U.S. Olympic Taekwondo Team and was the U.S. National Taekwondo champion in 86 & 87.

Call the folks at Decot.com. They make the adjustments to your normal script and do glasses for many top name shooters.
I have a pair and really was amazed.

BigH,
The Glocks make good all around guns as evident by a couple of USPSA National champions shooting them. The "Glock Bulge" you are refering to on the 40 brass is very real, but can be sized out with the Redding G-Rx sizing die or other as mentioned above. The 40 cal Glock will allow you to compete in more USPSA divisions than a 45 due to mag capacity.
I own a CZ Shadow, CDP Kimber, Glocks, SV, S&W's and some custom guns and think the trigger feel of the S_I guns is as good as it gets for a factory gun. My recommendation would be to get an STI Edge or the like in 40 cal and save time sizing the brass.

Very nice!

It looks fun, did you hit those 25 yarders?

Today is my 1 year USPSA shooting anniversary. I have tried Production, SS, Revolver, L-10 and Limited and think Limited has what your looking for in your stated goals. I am however looking forward to trying Open and just received my new blaster.
Limited allows you to run and gun with fewer reloads which suits my taste.
Good luck and hope you have primers!
Battle In the Bluegrass **CANCELLED**

Chris,
So what are you gonna shoot at Blue Grass? I've never seen you shoot anything but Limited, L10 and Open with your LTD gun.
