Sorry.. have reread. I skimmed the 1st post and saw 1200 there.. computed that into 1050.. as I'm ordering parts for my 1050s etc and have it on my mind.
You dont have a 1050, thus you dont already have one......
Either way, that or a M die will work
Try a normal resizing die in the last station if you can get it to fit and back it off a turn or so and see what the burr is like.. should wipe it out

See below pic stolen from Mr Bullet Feeders Page
The backup rod has expander section in it. (middle part with arrow)
Just install it in a station after your trimmer
I havnt trimmed up any of my rods
-
Just run the backup rod/die in the swage station
Its basically a M die

Nope, needs to be milled
-
All the Dillon setups use a milled tool head

Thanks
I thought as much however Brassaholics post I quoted shows a link to a 1ph motor (PW copy) and a VFD... very confused.. lol
Does anyone have a link to a 3ph replacement for the PW motor - ie to use the existing gearbox
-
Here's the motor I'm using now (bought it from this Ebayer): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sumitomo-Hyponic-Drive-50-1-Gear-Motor-1-4-HP-Model-RNFM02-23L-B-50-/181311476251?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a3701921b
With a Ponsness-Warren auto-drive copy, it will get you a max of 2160 Rounds per hour.
Then you'll need to mate a Dalton 225 OSD (Overtorque Safety Device) to the motor: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dalton+osd&_from=R40&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xdalton+225+osd.TRS1&_nkw=dalton+225+osd&ghostText=&_sacat=0
And finally the VFD: http://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Shopping/Catalog/Drives/GS2_(115_-z-_230_-z-_460_-z-_575_VAC_V-z-Hz_Control)/GS2_Drive_Units_(115_-z-_230_-z-_460_-z-_575_VAC)/GS2-10P2
To confirm, you're running the PW copy single phase motor on the 3ph output of the above VFD?
How have you got it wired?

1/16 is about 62 thou, I can measure over 250 thou!

I have a 1050 which until last week I thought was normal - after using somsone elses, I find its far from normal!
There is alot of play in the crank/key/link which I;m working through with Dillon
Tonight I was changing tool heads and noticed that the machine has ALOT of rotational play in the tool head when at the top.
The tool head is tight, the whole shaft is turning - the pin #11009 appears to be when the play is - whether bearing, pin, linkarm or crank arm - need to look further.
I think I may have got a friday special - only had 2000 rds though it but seems excessively loose
For those with 1050s, could you please measure the rotational play with the tool head at the top, from the primer tube would be a good reference.
I think I may have got a friday special - only had 2000 rds though it but seems excessivly loose everywhere
Thanks

Have you got the right buttons for the conversion?
-
I wish i COULD get the screw out of mine to remove it
It wont budge
-
My damage was from upside down cases driving the rim into it when i missed picking it up while in a rhythm
-
That will be your problem - both my 9mm and 223 presses did it
I sanded it out with wet and dry and all fixed for a few more thousand rounds
-
I want styrofoam LOL
As far as eco anything, burning powder, primers and throwing lead around, prob isnt top of the list..
-
thanks to all - we;ll get there in the end... maybe
-
Email bounced
-
I need new ones for commercial loading
-
Nope and nope
-
Does anyone know where to get them other than Midway or Topbrass?
Midway are out of the 223 ones, and Topbrass ignores my emails.
Looking for a bunch of them
Thanks
