Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I am going over to Missouri bullets lswc 125gn. At present i am using 124gn LRN for a local supplier. Thanks
  2. I have a new 9mm bullseye 1911 with Kart barrel. I just cant get rounds to group..............I am using 4.gn N320 with a 124gn RN lead bullet OAL of 1145. taper crimped to .376. The barrel is resting on on the legs ok and the bushing is EGW with tight fit to slide. I have another 1911 .45 built to the same spec shoots x ring timed and rapid indoors all day if I do my part. Any thoughts.
  3. Hi, I an thinking of going over to AET barrels for .45 and 9mm 1911 for bullseye. Is leading still a problem shooting LSWC bullets with these barrels.?
  4. Hi, Does anybody know the parts, and what need to done? I want to be able to convert back to SA so as to keep it original.
  5. Hi, I have been using a Marvel 1 conversion for some months and when it running well its great however recently it has become erratic. I use 4 plastic magazines and recently when loading they have strated to shave lead of the top of many rounds...definatly on the first round. Also the slide does not want to close the last 1/32 of an inch usually on the initial round.....I have made sure the extractor is not fouling the groove in the barrel and all is smooth in that area. I am using SK pistol match ammo which the gun likes but this batch is leaving gritty residue but the gun will do this even when it and the magazines are fully cleaned and oiled. Any ideas?
  6. At present I have my red dot scope at the rear of the rail on both my S&W41 and my 1911. I can see that the rear position would optically reduce wobble. Does moving the scope further forward force the eyes and brain to work harder but ultimately produce tighten groups?
  7. I am using the lightest possible trigger pull weight, under NRA rules, on my S&W 41 for bullseye. I was wondering if increasing the pull weight slightly would help with steering / steadying the gun as I apply pressure to the trigger, I see this in a small way now and want to know if I am thinking in the right direction. I am newish and improving so do not want to start down a quick fix route to a short term better score at the cost of long term performance.
