  1. Hello guys,

I have some 40 STI mags that I don't use (shooting 9mm for now). Has anybody successfully use it and be reliable for 9mm? I tried mine but is not 100% reliable, so I'm thinking I'll buy a 9mm follower and a spacer, will it run reliably? Just asking if anybody has done it before I buy anything...

    Thanks,

    bbncu

  2. On mine, I also removed the magazine disconnector..or the one that prevents your buckmark to shoot if the magazine is out...I was experiencing inconsistent trigger pull especially when the gun has been shot for a while (dirty) and when I removed it...I haven't had any problems...

  4. Oh great Tim :-) Do you know of a good mount for the STS?

A while back, my buckmark used the STS. I have a regular picatinny/weaver mount

then I bought an STS weaver style adapter

    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/493874/c-more-sts-base-weaver-picatinny-style-rail-mount-matte

Worked perfectly and no problems but eventually, I have to go back to a regular cmore coz I have another project that I needed the STS.

What was your opinion of the STS on a Buckmark? I thought small and light would work well.

I actually like the STS set up and you will notice the difference on weight as compared to a cmore. The only problem I had is that when you are practicing/shooting at sunset (We have a practice match on our club every week in the afternoon, I don't know if it is just my STS but the auto mode (automatically adjust the brightness for you) is too bright and you cannot dim it down. It is perfect on morning/sunny matches though pretty bright...

  6. I have a buckmark and when it was out of the box, it will eat any ammo...then when I tried lightening it up and got me a Tacsol barrel, it became picky but still runs with CCI mini-mags without problems. On the other hand, my friend has a Ruger and he had a hard time tweaking it to run without malfunctions.

  7. The solution to this is that Montana Gold/or USPS should put a sticker stating that the box is "heavy" on every shipment. I had to pick up mine at our local post office one time and the PO guy nearly broke his back when he tried picking it up. A lot of people hurt their backs when they don't anticipate that the box they are going to lift is heavier than they thought. A usual reaction I bet would be some cuss words and a "gentle" kick and mishandling the package after that..that is my theory why the boxes got mangled up...

  8. For anyone who hasn't discovered it, Armscor Precision is the most accurate .22 ammo I have ever found. Provides the best groups ever in every gun I have, including 10/22 rifles, factory or TAC SOL barreled, Benelli MP 90 World Cup, Browning Buckmark pistol and rifle, Browning BL-22, Kimber Rimfire, Model 41 S&W, Ruger Charger(2"group at 100 meters), High Standard, EVERYTHING. And targetsportsusa sells it for $185/case DELIVERED!!! It matches, round for round, my Wolf Match Target, same point of impact and same group size, but it's cheaper than Wally World bulk. And no greasy stuff on it. And I keep about 20 kinds/brands of .22 ammo on hand to test in any new gun I get, so I have some background.

Checked on the site and they are out of stock...I want to try it out...
