I would NOT recommend it. I don’t even run coated bullets through my MPX.
IF you decide to try it, I’d say run hard cast lead at 18 brinell. But your MPX will smoke like a musket with the lube
Good luck. Report back results
My next question is how often do you take apart the gas system to clean? That will play a big role on reliability.
Never. Did break tail off piston at about 12k rounds. Disassembled and found piston running smoothly in its cylinder. Replaced piston and have run another maybe 3k thru it. Replaced trigger assembly with HyperFire 24C at about 1k rounds. Did get Sig to give me the new bolt carrier and firing pin at about 4k rounds. No other problems. Run Xtreme 115 gr HPCB at 1190 FPS. I will stay away from lead and moly.

In today's world my reserve of plated and FMJ 115 gr 9mm is running low. I can get many thousands in cast lead (lube groove).
HOWEVER: My Sig MPX PCC is a gas drive and port is close to chamber. Would these bullets cause a problem for a gas gun? How about Moly coated (also available)?

Per latest Amer. Rifleman, accuracy is sub 2" at 500 yds.

My M&P Core Pro load is 147 gr at OAL of 1.167" - have fired a few thousand of those, also 115 gr at 1.115". No problems.

Yes 6-32

I have a M&P Core Pro (already milled by S&W). I have had RMR07 and Vortex Viper mounted on it with plates that came from S&W. RMR frame was like looking thru a knot hole so I went to Viper (I installed Dawson iron front sight to co witness). The Venom is .1" thicker at the base and doesn't co witness without extremely tall irons.

I talked with HyperFire several times about my 24C failure - even sent them the damaged FCG (they sent me a new one free - YEMV). They said run the heavy springs.

Forgot to add this to my previous post -I run 115 gr X-treme with 4.7 grs WSF at 1190 fps.

My MPX "chewed up" 24C in 3500 rounds. Now have a second set with 1000 rounds on it. Check the back side of the hammer and top of the round bar that retains springs - shiny spots where hammer hits bar - seeing this on my second set also. I'm running the springs with the lighest trigger pull.

My match pistol (IDPA, 3 Gun) is setup with light springs and runs federal. Tried 10 rounds using S&B "Pistol" primers today - 100% ignition - I may just start using the S&B for practice and save my Fed. for the matches. Also tried 10 rounds using S&B "Rifle" primers - only one in 10 fired.
-
Ran 10 rounds each (end flap of 1000 primer boxes - one says "rifle" other says "pistol) of S&B primers thru my M&P with light springs (runs on Fed Small Pistol primers).
The S&B "Rifle primers" only ignited one of 10 rounds. The S&B "Pistol primers" ignited all 10 rounds.
Once it gets a few degrees warmer I will test for accuracy out to 25 yds. in the M&P and out to 100 yds. in a 9mm carbine.
-
If that is the case, then I'll test both out to 100Yds. in my 9 mm carbine and report back. I'll also run some thru a pistol that normally requires Fed primers (more easy ignition).

Have used thousands without any problems. BUT have noted new packaging (Black and Gold boxes) that end flaps are labeled " Small Pistol", and others labeled "Small Rifle", However the face of the box Says "Small Pistol" (or "Small Rifle" depending on which box you have), and in the black part of the face on both boxes says "for rifle, pistol, or revolver cartridges". Anyone know if there is any performance differences between the two??

@TISCHLJ please share your mpx setup? Round count? Weight? Any issues Best sources of magazines? Tips?
13.5" barrel with the standard Sig birdcage (Keymod Gen II carbine). Only mags that work are Sig Gen 2's. Two 30's assembled end to end hold 70+ rounds - never have to do a mag change in PCC match. First thing to do is replace Sig's FCG - I went with HyperFire 24C - after 3,500+ rounds, it started doubling - hammer/sear interface chewed up - Hyperfire gave me a new one- have about 1,500 rounds thru it. I reload using 115 gr XTreme Heavy Copper Plate. 4.7 grs. WSF ans S&B primers. Chrony at 1190 fps. Zeroed at 25 yds. 1 group at 25, 2 at 50, 3 at 75, and 4" at 100 yds. with no problem (YEMV). Have to use a firm hand seating the mag with the bolt closed. Soft shooting - no issues.
