I am about to purchase my first press. I have been around reloading for a while, and I just have a few questions.
I am most likely going to buy the 550b. I will be loading a bunch of 40 and a good bit of 9mm. In the future I will be loading 223 and maybe some 308. Does it make sense to spend the around $400 extra and get the 650? When I say a bunch of 40, I am shooting atleast two IPSC matches monthly and I go to the range every week. 9mm is more of a plinker for myself and family. 223 is for my AR which I hope to start shooting more in the future. 308 is a maybe in the future.
Second question, I shoot a Beretta 90-two in 40 for IPSC. I will be getting free brass from a local police station so no need to buy that yet. What sort of bullets and powders would work best for me? I would ask the guys I shoot with, but none shoot Berettas. I have seen Montana Gold Bullets are a big seller with the group I shoot with, but will those work well for me? Do you guys have any recommendations? Most of the gun stores around me have slowly stopped selling primers and other reloading materials, so where are the best places online to find them? (I know the hazmat fee is going to suck)
