Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'd like you to school me on proper handgun grip. When I grip my handgun, someone said my thumbs are in the wrong position. I'd like to fix it, but it's nearly impossible to describe what my present position is. Can anyone tell me (or point me to a pic) that tells me how I ought to be gripping the handgun? Thanks!
  2. I decided to accept my friend's invitation to attend an IPSC shoot, and I'm happy I did. I'd like to say thank you to Running Gun in Norco, CA for giving me such a warm welcome yesterday (9/6/08). Specifically, Jimmy was very considerate in making sure I was checked in properly, and Dennis made sure that I - quote - "came home with the same number of orifices I left with." He did all he could to make me calm, comfortable, and safe. Well, I did keep taking off my eyes, but he reminded me! The quality of shooters in that squad made me wonder if I'd be looked down on for my $300 production gun or my slow pace, but no such thing happened. Everyone there was very kind, offered me helpful advice in a polite way, and made me want to come back. I can't afford the entrance fee all the time, but I'm thinking of going back this weekend just to tape targets and learn a few things. Thank you, everyone at Running Gun!
