I have a S@W 617 .22 that hits primers to light on ammo. It's been to the factory 3 times. It's had a new firing pin and the timing was checked. It's up to me to fix it now. S@W is no longer going to help. They think it is the ammo, but I have tried many different types of ammo all with the same failure rate wich is about 3 in 10 rounds not firing. Winchester is by far the best ammo to work with about 2 in 50 not firing. If I am to start replacing parts to get more consistentcy which parts should I try? And yes I have adjusted the mainspring all the way up. I know that .22 ammo is known for failing more than centerfire but not at the rate and different types I have tried.
