p.s. you die, you die and go hell!

Ditto.....but at least I am building a deck to have an elegant place to pee off of.:cheers:

  2. Being relatively new to the competition, USPSA card this past June, it's tough to jump in and see how many others are cutting back. I am trying to stay on a mostly even keel with my shooting, even though my wife says I am one of those, "if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing", kinda guys. I am buying a reloader this winter, live fire practice is mostly with a Ruger 22/45, and while diesel prices are though the roof, if I want to travel to a match, it's cheaper to take the 5th wheel and stay in my own comfy bed. I spend enough time in hotels for work. Both of the local clubs close to me shut down matches during the winter, so I have my choice of driving a couple hundred miles or just hunker down, reload and practice. I will also forego the golf membership next year. Dang, it's looking mighty skinny for next year.

  3. Lets say "Camo Guy" is pasting or setting steel. The RO looks around and DOESN'T see "Camo Guy". Range goes hot and a lot of bad could happen.

Is there cardboard-style camo...I wouldn't wear that at the range for sure...

I prefer to wear a plain white T-shirt. The more I look like a "no shoot" the better.

 Like the no shoot plan. I was thinking about most of the shooters at the local matches here, no camo, but mostly brown, tan, and the like. What are the targets and backgrounds here in the desert? Brown, tan. I think I just scared myself.

  4. With the comments of feeling like time slowed down, reminds me of the old saw, "slow is smooth, smooth is fast". On the rare occasion I get a good stage, it usually feels smooth. Reloads, crud, just crud. I am working on some advise to keep the gun in eyeline while reloading, but during a stage, yeah, am still dropping it and taking too much time getting a realignment. While I try only to reload while moving, a pesky popper can still bite me, and leave me a round or two short. Old slow D shooter, but dang I have fun.

  5. Lemme see, took up competitive shooting last spring, already older'n dirt with one metal knee and progressive lenses I can't see through. Classify D in Lim-10, and have a hoot at it. Last match was a travesty that was all my fault. Gun ran poorly cause of a worn out recoil spring. Will pay more attention from now on. Sure, I feel I can and will improve. hmmm, practice and dryfire? :goof:

  6. Hi all. New to the forum. Have hung around 1911 forum, and defensivecarry, but had been looking for something more focused on USPSA. Started shooting Single Stack and Lim-10 last spring. I traded off an old cobbled together 1911 on a Filipino frame I had for a new Kimber Custom II, and have been having a great time. Finally did get classified, so am in the 'great unwashed' D group. Will look forward to tips and discussions. Thanks, Brian and admins for providing the venue.
