  1. When can you add two to eleven and get one as the answer?

A lady is sunbathing at a nude beach because she heard it was the best way to get an overall tan. Day after day she lies out in the sun but cannot get a complete tan. Why?

If it takes a man one hour to dig a hole 2 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters deep, how long will it take the same man to dig a hole 4 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 4 meters deep, assuming he digs at the same rate of speed?

How many times can you subtract 5 from 25?

  2. 1) I have noticed that most rear cocking serrations are either vertical or have a little cant. Why not have the serration area as wide as grips and on the same angle line as the grips?...just a thought...hope how I explained is understandable.

    2) I have a Colt Gold Cup that has Elliason rear sites. There is a small hole in each side of the slide and the site that some type of pin most go into. Well, some how the pin is gone and the forward part of the rear site cants upward. Do I just need to get a pin? If so, where? And is this a do-it-yourself project?

    3) Where can I get quality colored grips for my daughters gun? Other than spray painting them?

    Thanks

  3. I do not think that I am asking too much.

I just looked at my credit card statement. I paid for the additions 8-7-01. That means it came back to me over 4 months ago. Four months is ridiculous for an extended slide release. I have paid my bill but have not received full service/product.

    Happy Holidays

  4. Here is my story: (and might I state that I like my Premier II 1.5 inch guarantee. It is the service that I am disgusted/disappointed with).

I got my Premier II about 5 months ago. I was so excited. Getting one of these was at a sacrifice of other things. But I had to have one. My initial excitement was briefly haulted by the cardboard box it arrived in. Ehh...I had my Premier II!!

Boy was it tight. As soon as my PII and I were ready we went to the range. I really like...YES!!  It looks and shoots great. I busted home to package it back up in the cardboard box and shipped it back to Les Baer Custom, Inc for a few minor modifications.

What I wanted was an extended magazine release, drill and tapped version, and an extended slide release. All is good.

When I received the gun back it looked beautiful, despite the length of time it took compared to the time I was told it would take. This was my first experience with the ole run-a-round and “I need to talk with Les” routine.

PII and I head to the range. UH OH...my PII has a problem. When racking the slide, the slide was hanging up. The problem continued when I fired. I knew something was not right. How could this be?

I went home and contacted a seasoned Les Baer owner. He took a look at it and found the problem. It was with the, custom fit, extended slide release. The PII functioned great when we put the original slide release in it. We also put the extended slide release in his PII. Same problem. Well that was an easy diagnosis.

I sent the faulty extended slide release back and requested another be sent to me. I explained to them what happened. Well, that was 3 months ago. Yes, I said 3 months ago.

Since I sent the extended slide release back I have only gotten the ole run-a-round.

I have tried my best to be tactful and factual in my communication with Les Baer Custom and when writing this post.

The way is see it is:

    1) I received the gun with upgrades and it did not function correctly. I paid more in shipping than the cost of the part.

    2) I have been told an extended slide release will be shipped, Les needs to decide what to do, I will talk with Les, etc...but to no avail. I even received a phone call the day before Thanksgiving wanting me to pay shipping again and to send the gun back to be custom fit. Right...it was not done correctly the first time. And I am to pay shipping again? I was also told Les wanted to talk to me but would have to call me back. You guessed it, no phone call yet.

    3) All I had asked for is another extended slide release shipped to me. Really, the gun should go back at the cost of Les Baer.

I cannot understand what is so hard about this. No service after the sale? I had heard of poor customer service stories before purchasing my PII. I ignored them until now.

My question to everyone is: would you want to be treated this way? Or better yet, how about, if in my profession, I were to treat you this way? I am an ER Registered Nurse and Paramedic.

I no longer want the extended slide release. I will use the original or a Wilson Combat. One extended slide release will cost thousands of dollars in sales. I just do not understand.

    And what would you do?

As I began this thread, so will I close it by saying: Here is my story (and might I state that I like my Premier II 1.5 inch guarantee. It is the service that I am disgusted/disappointed with).
