Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Will need help setting up at 0700.
5 stages, trying to get us out of there as early as possible.
Stage Note: one stage you will be playing Pokemon Go with your pistol. You will be limited to 10 round only magazines. Check out the stage as you may need more than 3 magazines.

Will be hot so normal precautions, water & sun screen

Note:
one stage will allow the use of sling (optional)
Pistol Caliber Rifles will be allowed for the match. There is one stage with shots at 100 yards. You may use your normal rifle caliber rifle for this stage (optional).

West Houston Shooters Club will be putting on the following class:
Introduction to IDPA/Action Shooting competition. One hour classroom and 5 hours running scenarios and shooting. This is a beginner class for brand new shooters or folks that are just 1-3 matches in and want to gain knowledge of the rules, scoring, gear selection, various targets you may encounter and planning your stage.
We'll start from scratch and have "you looking like you've done this before".
Plan on at least 250 rounds.
Bring gun, strong side vertical holster (that fits), at least 3 magazines and magazine holders (2 minimum)
Will discuss/show some differences between everyday carry and competition gear.
If you have a question you would like answered in the class send to whidap@gmail.com.
Bring some snacks, water, hat and sunscreen.
Start time 0900 and should end no later than 1500 (3pm).
Price $130 includes club required insurance and range fee.

If you are shooting a rimfire or PCC, cannot be used for 200 yard stage, bring or borrow a centerfire rifle
Check stages, one stage requires 6 slug shots at a minimum.
