Just checked, watch Practiscore or WRCs web page & Facebook in about a month, registration should be setup by then.
A Kingman WRC event would be fun, and not too far away.

Are web sales coming back? The only distributors I saw listed were a truck stop and a gunsmith.

I found Federal 147 grain Syntech worked fine, but did not have great accuracy. The 124gr version was better. Never any creep. But neither came near the accuracy and consistency of hand loads with 160 grain .358 BBI bullets. That load is magical for me in both 929s (one Limited and one Open).

At the load and make ready, some guys fiddle with the cylinder at closing it after loading, like they are trying to spin it, what the hell is that all about? I imagine Ive put several hundred thousand rounds thru the several revolvers Ive used over the years, never once turning or trying to spin a cylinder, and never once have I experienced some manner of malfunction of the revolver.......am I missing something, or just lucky?
I do this, to make sure the cylinder is locked into place. It always is, but I do it anyway. I do something similar with my semi-auto, in that after the press check I make sure the slide is fully forward. It always is, but I do it anyway.

I think I’ve run across that post. I’m aware that the X5’s are great guns. How do the compare to say a staccato xl or other 2011. Is that an apples to apples comparison?
I grew up on single stack 1911’s and am relatively new to the 2011.
The Staccato is a nice gun, no question. Fit and finish were OK on the one I had, but nothing spectacular. The P226 X-Five fit and finish were excellent for a factory (albeit Custom Shop) gun. I found I liked the grip on the Sig better, and it pointed well for me. I also like the Sig trigger; I found it a little nicer than the Staccato. Neither is, of course, as good as a true hand fit gun like an SVI.

I am running a P226 X-Five with a Romeo 2 mounted, with the optional rear sight bolted on the back to co-witness. Direct fit. I am using the AA race holster. Fits and functions great.

So can one get on a waiting list? If so, I would like 5K of fully processed, “9 Major” sorted. Although I don’t load 9 major, I do have a very finicky S&W 929 revolver, and usually have to pay a neighbor kid to sort my brass.

That’s a little surprising… they look like standard Federal primers, and my revolver sets them off just fine. Federal using knock off primers…. Is nothing sacred?

I shot the IRC, as it was closest. Solid match in all respects. Great stages, fantastic range, and well-run. I doubt I will travel east for next year’s IRC, though.

Why do you think there shouldn't be a CO should be in SCSA ? That's the most popular centerfire class.
Given that there is no power factor in SCSA, and there is no need for a magwell, CO and LO are basically on the same ballistic footing as Open. That shows up in the results, too. But, hey, it allows for more awards, patches and plaques.

same could be said about CO,, yet here we are.
I agree. No reason for CO, either, in SCSA

Leupold DPP has a 6MOA that fits nicely on an Allchin mount.

St. George was great, but as much for who was running it. Whatever happened to Las Vegas, though? I remember one held there and I thought it was ideal.
-
Given that there is no power factor in SCSA and no reloads, LO seems to fit just fine in Open.
-
I think it's a great idea. Fills the match, and provides some interesting comparisons of iron sights versus optics.
-
The ideal one would be Lauck's, but that has never been factory. https://www.dlsports.com/dls-enhanced-cylinder-release-for-sw-revolvers.html

Looking for a starting load for .38 Short
Colt using Vihtavoorhi N310 or N320, 150 gr coated LRN Black Bullets. All VV lists is for .38 Special.
-
How about keeping a list of those that complain about how the match is being run?
-
Can .38 SC brass handle a major load? Yikes.
-
How did you get practiscore to recognize Limited Optics? It's not enabled for us yet.

I've been using an Sig P322 lately with a red dot. It's working very well for me, reliable, accurate, and points naturally.

So are the IRC and the WRC the same weekend now?
IRC in Colorado and a newly designated "WRC Series" match in Nevada on the same weekend. There is also a WRC in mid July in Morro Bay.

The comp might work at higher pressures/velocities, but I don’t see how it can do much at 120PF.
