Great match and the stages were excellent. Thanks to all who worked the match so we all could have a good time. The only backup we had was waiting on Tod to get a reshoot again and again and again. No really squad 7 was fun and I had a great time.
Thanks and see everyone at FB3G

For the record, I counted up all the preferences (at least the unambiguous ones) on this thread and 28 were in favor of distributing the prize table according to match performance, rewarding excellence, hard work, etc.

Only four were in favor of distributing prizes randomly, at lease some of the time, rewarding luck, presence, or probability according to the raffle tickets one bought.

So regardless of philosophical argument it seems pretty clear that most competitors (87.5%) want to win their prizes the old fashioned way, by shooting well. It’s a big enough discrepancy that match directors should take notice IMO.
I also have to put my name on the list that is in favor of distributing the prize table according to match performance. I have only been shooting 3Gun for a year and I have moved up with each match which means I have to spend money on equipment and practice to get there. It's good to know if I put this into it I will do better and get a better reward for it.
Just my two cents

Sorry, I am in Wyomng and the shotgun is in OK. I will get some pictures as soon as I can....except there won't be much to see as it is VERY LIGHTLY! KurtM
I did the same fix as Kurt and it cured my problems plus I changed the gate spring. I have shot two matches since I fixed my and runs great.

Don't take the spinner away. If nothing else, use it on a side match. Me and that thing have some unfinished business.
Forget it Chris it will get the best of you. It's like a one arm bandit

Robbie if you get any faster, you're going to have to start spotting us some match time just so we can stay in the ball park with you!!
Steve you are right. He kicked our tails and said he had an issue in one of the stages. Training with him is even harder because I can't keep up.

Mike, great match, I’m glad Bill made me go. Wish I could have gotten Rick out of bed but he threw his back out and was still there when I called to give him a sit-rep at 1800.

Maybe he will read this but that's what happens when you get old. Thanks and hope to see you guys again at the next one.

Hey Mike, are ya'll going to post the results anywhere? Some people had to leave before everything was posted, and I'm sure they would like to see how they did.
We will post on the greenville gun club web site and as soon as she gets it into the right format today we will post it on this link also.
Thanks

I want to say thanks to everyone who came out and shot the match and also to everyone to drove a ways to get there. I think there was a lot for everyone to shoot and with no stage backups. We will try and do it again sometime but it is a lot of work so it will be a few months before the next one.
I want to pay a special thanks to everyone who help put on the match and worked hard to set up, tearn down, stats, and SOing while trying to shoot the match.
Thanks

Mike,
What kind of distance are we looking at for the rifle? Just wondering if I should bring a scope, a dot or an iron sighted 9mm.
Dewey
Dewey we will be shooting 100 yards but with some small targets
Mike
Dewey
Take the 9
We were going to try 300 but with the crowd coming it would have made for a long day. One of the bays we need is in between the 100 and 300. Sorry but we are going to try it next time.

Hey Mike, Hope all is going well for the match. Just wondering how much heavy steel you will have for the shotgun. -Just need to know what kinds of loads to bring. Looking forward to it, got a good bunch of guys coming down from Charlotte. Also have the same question as Dewey as my son will be shooting with us. If a dot is ok for rifle I will let him bring an eotech toped rifle, but if he need more magnigication we will just share mine and bring extra mags. Thanks
Hey Steve
100 yards on the rifle but with some small targets and on the shotgun 7 1/2 should do it all.

Hey guys, looking forward to the match. I burned a vacation day to come shoot with you guys, and I hope we have a good time. I know it is still early but a round count would be helpful, especially since I am funding my sons shooting also. At least this way when she gives me the evil eye I can point towards him and tell her it's all for him. It will be ok then. I've got to blame as much as I can on him as he will be off to college in a couple years and I won't have any more excuses.
Hi Steve
Glad you are coming and we will have a good time for sure.
I am out of the cuntry until mid next week. Still finishing the stages and should post round count by mid next week.
Thanks

The CPWSA adventure travel tab is funny as hell. I recommend everyone check it out for a laugh. And its so true.
The RO's and Sponsors were awesome. Without them these matches would not be possible.
Something tells me next year will have a bit different stage design to accomadate a schedule that allows completion in a day and a half or it may become a 3 day match.
Yep you are right
Thats funny I don't care who you are. It was worth the look and remind me not to stay next to you guys.

That's wild. Just think if he had gotten out at home. Would have scared the living s---- out of me.

The Carolina Tactical Invitational 3 Gun match is FULL
Shooters wishing to be placed on the waiting list may send in
the application and fee. The fee will not be cashed unless you are
notified of a available slot.
Round count, "approximately" 150 Rifle, 200 shot, 15 slugs and 200 pistol
Reduced Recoil slugs are not permitted in HM
There will be another bus stage this year and it will be a multi-gun stage.
Very likely a stage with a class 3 MP5, If we can find a Ammo Sponsor.
