  1. Love my 9 major. If I don't have a chance to pick up my brass at a match....I don't get too upset about it. When I need more brass, I look in the brass bucket in my club and there it is. I haven't had to buy brass yet. The best part is my gun eats everything.

  2. I had the same problem after owning my 550 for a few years. I noticed that the 2 holes where you screw the bolts into the primer assembly had caused 2 bulges in the aluminum where the primer bar slides. I believe this was from constant torquing of the bolts when I removed the assy. for cleaning. I trued the area with a file until the bulges were flush with the rest of the part and all problems went away. Take a look at that area.

  3. I looked at my videos, it was depressing. But I will work on them tonight and post some

I wish I had taken a video camera. I shot some stages well but then you just overtook me, you kicked my butt on the last 2 days.

I have a few videos I took of you. I will post them if you like.

  4. A mechanic told me today to never top off my fuel tank in my car/truck beyond the auto shutoff because it will put raw gasoline into the vapor canister and cause major problems with the engine performance. I never heard this before. Thoughts? I have been cramming gas into my tank beyond full for 30 years.

    Thanks

Your mechanic is right. The vents for the fuel tank are on top of the tank. If the vents fill with gas, from topping off, the fuel will go into the carbon canister and render it useless. This will throw an evaporative emmissions code, set the check engine light and cost you allot of money to fix. You will not be able to get an inspection sticker either, as OBD2 reddiness moniters will fail for evap if a DTC is stored. In short, DO NOT TOP OFF FUEL TANKS!! Also, do not fill when engine is running. If the PCM is running a leak check monitor in the evap system while fillin, the open fuel cap will prevent the engine from drawing a vacuum on the fuel system. The PCM will see this as a"gross leak" in the system and set a DTC (check engine light on)

  5. I used to, until I ran out and couldn't get anymore... :( Had great reliability with them.

I have a STI Trubore in 38 super, it does not like wolf small rifle primers, My last match I had a lot of bullets that did not fire. I like Winchester small rifle.

I use 'em. They work great. I had ONE issue.....because the anvil was not in right. Not bad out of 20,000.

  6. I got distracted talking to someone before my turn on a stage. As I was running the COF, I grabbed a mag off my belt, thought to myself as I was ramming it home....hmm, that feels a little light, saw it was empty, and finnished the reload anyways! Had to drop the mag and reload again. The laughter was deafening. NEVER put a used mag back in the belt....a lesson well learned that day.

  7. i feel you pain. I ordered my Bedell in July of this year and got it in November.....the week AFTER the last match of the season. I spent almost every day after getting it at the range playing. I can't wait till the first match next month to see what I can do with it. The wait isn't too bad believe it or not. It is well worth the wait! Dan makes a fine product.

  8. As an auto tech I am always using impact guns to drive nuts and bolts home. I find myself treating them just as I do my Kimber, finger way off the trigger, muzzle (socket on the end) in a safe direction, reload (hook up the airline) and so forth. Pretty funny actually.

  9. Okay, what's to prevent someone from stacking a couple shots each on the first go and then reloading and just capping 12 as fast as you can?

From the description I don't see where you couldn't do just that...?

wouldn't that constitute a proceedural? It says 1 round each target, reload, 1 round each
