Here's my email from Peacemaker this morning:

We started processing them on the 15th and they are being mailed through USPS, so you should receive it this week.

    Thanks!

Good deal.   Thanks for posting that.  I got an e mail from them just now saying they're being processed as we speak.

  2. more info to come, but i got word this morning that the MGM Ironman east has been cancelled due to lack of staff.  More details will be sent out this evening including info on sending out refunds, but I know it's getting close so I wanted to let everyone know asap.  I'm really sorry this happened.  I was looking forward to bringing the match to the east coast.  I had some great stages put together that I think everyone would have really enjoyed.  I apologize again for the trouble.

  3. So for those that registered early... how do we know we're registered for the correct date and division?

i'll be going through all the registrations tonight or first thing in the morning and sending you a personal confirmation e mail to make sure you're in the right match. the easiest way would be to just go delete yourself from the match you DON'T want to shoot and reregister yourself for the one you do want to shoot.

  4. Just to be sure before I sign up, in Trooper, you can set you gear down when you get to the stage correct? You only have to carry all of it transporting between stages. I have been reading the rules and my guess is carry all transporting between stages but set it down when you get there to aid in resetting and what not. Also is the area where we will lock all our gear up at the end of the day at the club shop or will it be up on the range?

Never shot Ironman and I am glad it is coming to the East side so I can try my hand at Trooper.

I'm not sure on the ironman east trooper shed. They should be getting stages put together for that shortly. That'll determine where the gear will be staged. They've got lots of locations at that venue that would work.

  5. Travis, could I get a confirmation on the size of the trooper ammo can this year? Thanks.

Great question. I'll see if I can get Russell Phagan to answer that one. I'm not sure off the top of my head.... This is what I THINK it is...

    1. For the MGM Ironman match the shooter will have one ammo can in which they may store extra ammunition, spare parts, spare firearms, food, etc for re-supply during the match. Shooter will provide their own ammo can which will be a Tall .50 BMG can (7"x12"x9") or smaller (less than 756 cubic inches)

  6. I bought 4 of the MGM Sportsman poppers and have been hammering them with 176 & 181PF Rainier .38SC match bullets from open guns and they do not even look like they are used. Ill say if the plate rack is made like these poppers you will have no issues other than replacing the first 8 foot of the rope with chain because of the ricochet off the AR-500 plates. Good luck!

Glad to hear they're working good for you, and thanks for the business!!

  7. The main difference between the Sportsman's and the standard is the reset linkage and that the plates are welded to the hinges instead of bolted. For personal use its top of the line. You can't adjust how hard it is to knock down the plates but if you're setting it up on level ground it's good to go. Let me know if you've got other questions and I'll be happy to answer them!

  8. sorry for the delay on this. I keep getting sidetracked. Here is the abbreviated update...

    1. If you're not signed up, it's probably too late unless you show up the day the match starts and someone has "no showed".

    2. If you haven't paid yet, you're about to get kicked out and someone on the wait list will get your slot

    3. If you're using a "sponsored shooter" slot and your sponsor hasn't sent in their stuff yet, you're about to get kicked out. The other option is to pay the full entry fee so you can keep your spot.

    4. Stages are "in progress" along with round counts. There are going to be a couple of stages that have a LOT of options. If you like shooting your pistol, plan on adding 200 rounds to the published round count. Same thing with your rifle.

    5. Attached is the first draft of stages. I'm still working on 4A, 6, 9, and 10.

    Holler if you've got questions.

  9. Note from Cole at Peacemaker re registration....

"As many of you may have heard, the Famed MGM Ironman 3Gun Match known as the toughest 3gun match on earth will now have an east coast venue.

Travis Gibson, will be the match director, and the overall competition will closely resemble the Ironman match held in Parma Idaho.

Registration opens Monday May 7th, 2016 sharp at 7PM for both the Scoped Tactical Match Held From 9/30 - 10/2, and the OLHOT Match Held On Tuesday 10/4 - Thursday 10/6

See more details & register at the match website: http://peacemakernational.com/mgm

  10. will you be adding IME to your webpage? i think it would be helpful to the guys that never shot IM before. the rules are not like any other match....especially trooper division. people should read up on the rules.

having your friends help with extra ammo and a bit of guidance is great....and new.

trooper division is AWESOME! if yo can carry it you can run it! if you dont carry it you cant use it. no borrowing anything! a new idea....but really awesome. let see, last year i ran glock34, two shotguns, ar15 and ar308! awesome!

we will see if i can run ST and trooper again this year......last year's 105+ degree temps all most killed me....good thing it was a dry heat......felt like a convection oven instead of a steamer.....like that makes a difference. only difference was i was dying dry instead of dying wet!

    looking forward to IME

Honestly, I'm not sure if they're going to do a webpage or not. Everyone is more than welcome to check out the original Ironman website www.mgmironman.com for info though. I'd like for the rules to be exactly the same, but we'll just have to see what happens when I get there. I'm just showing up to run the match and make sure everyone has fun and is safe. :D

    adios,
