I solved my cold garage issues with radiant heat in the new garage.

I think stores just don't stock enough to begin with.Getting 22 ammo locally was so frustrating that I just order it on line,lots of availability.Stingers and velocitors is what I use mostly.Wally world seems to have the 555 winchesters regularly and they shoot OK.

Cav arms lower with AR gold trigger,DPMS lowpro upper,JP LMOS bolt carrier,Syrac ord. adjustable gas block,Firebird comp.Millet DMS-1 on SPR-E mount.
Simple basic frankin-rifle.

I took a JP SLC out of one AR with FA, just because I was building another without a FA, and put the YM SLC in it.
No difference between the two as far as functioning or feel,just now I can use the forward assist that I never need.
The YM carrier has run for the last year and a half trouble free.

It's is worth it when combined with a low mass carrier and buffer. The JP stiff is tried and true but I'm really fond of the new Syrac Ordnance has block. Like someone else said no loctite which is what gets most of us into single shot mode every now and again from turning the gas down to far.

I use aGolf hat it breathes well and works with ear muffs.(and no sunburn on the thin spot)

My Son started shooting USPSA matches last year at 13.Befire that we had several years of plinking and gun safty since he was a very young.he does just fine,I stand back and let the RO's handle him and try not to over coach him.

In the weeks before Second Chance he would shoot at Napanee and Michigan CityI never understood how I could beat him at these local matches and lose to him at Second Chance,I guess he was being nice,or just enough to win the chicken as Larry would say.

The Dawson kit is great,I have used it on all my mags and they run 100% so far.

At Atlanta I used a 21" benelli with a light mod choke, 7 1/2 (winchester) wallyworld shells and had no problem.I did see several people hitting the plates but on the edge, that did not take the plate off.

The thought of dumping P7 M8/13 mags on the ground during a match makes me cringe.
How much do M13 mags cost now? I haven't looked in awhile.
I think they were $85/ea the other day when I ordered some other HK parts.

... enter Speed Shotgun. It gives guys a chance to get their feet wet with 3Gun, but being only 1-gun, it's much less intimidating for a new guy.
You're idea worked, I had 3 new shooters with me and the all have the 3-gun bug bad now!
