Hey Yinz Guyz,
Well after shooting Ruger pistols for 16 years(started with the P95 DC and then the SR9 which I loved) both in competition and concealed carry and having to take a break for quite a few years due to some medical and family related issues I have finally gotten the opportunity to come back to the competition universe and being that my nieces and nephews(who I have quite often) are all older and more mature I finally came to the "dark side" and purchased my first Glock. With my nieces and nephews being younger back when I was doing this before I didn't like having guns around where the only safety was don't pull the trigger. Not that I leave my firearms lay around the house or anything they're all locked up in several different ways when they're at home but I just didn't want to take that chance. I wanted to compete in Limited Division in USPSA this time around and I didn't want to mess around with minor power factor so I went and bought myself a Glock 35 Gen 3 in 40S&W. I have went out and got the Apex Trigger for it, an extended slide stop, an extended slide lock, new spring kit for the trigger, firing pin, and firing pin safety, a TTI magwell for it, Hi Viz Fiber optic front and rear sights, a Heavy Tungsten guide rod and recoil spring, extended mag release, Talon grip tape, and 4 TTI Mag extension basepads with it. I shot it previously stock when I first bought it(the only change I made right away was the sights) and it was okay. The trigger was not what I expected from a stock pistol. It was heavy and with a lot of over travel and play in it. After doing all the modifications to this gun though I'm in love. The trigger is crisp and light and the recoil is easier to manage with the added grip and heavier guide rod. It's amazing what a little bit of work can do.
One thing that I have noticed though with my standard glock brand magazines with the extensions installed the mags aren't seating or feeding properly now. I had a couple of P Mag brand mags for it and put the extensions on those and they seat and feed properly. Any ideas??? I didn't do the internal work myself I had my buddy who's a gunsmith do it all for me. The only thing I did was install the mag extensions, the magwell, and the guide rod/recoil spring, and I put on the grip tape prior to the work being done on the internals of the gun. In the meantime I ordered 2 more P Mag magazines from Midway USA to replace the 2 Glock brand magazines since they're the ones having the issues. Any help will be greatly appreciated
