Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Forgot to add. I'm running the CZ Competition hammer (CZC hammer). If you want to try to get the minimal amount of pretravel and reset, you might want to try the "zero disconnector". Something like this -> https://xrayparts.it/en/cz-75-sp-01-spare-parts/523-disconnector-cz-75-sp-01-shadow-shadow-2-cz.html The smaller number you get, the more likely you'll need to carry out some gunsmithing to make it work, but better the rewards. That means filing the surfaces of the disconnector.
  2. I have something very much like this in my SP01 Shadow, but with two "ears" instead of one. The trigger pretravel is quite low but not non-existent. Difference between this and a stock Shadow 2 disconnector was negligible.
  3. No worries. I eventually bought a hammer and brass punch set. Removing the FP plate and extractor pin is no longer an issue. I have close to 4k rounds through mine. Though I don't have anything to show for it yet Functionally it's all good, though the Cerakote finish isn't as hard wearing as CZ's Polycoat.
  4. If you mean the right-side extended safety, then this might fit the bill -> https://www.ipscstore.com/en/cz-shadow-2-parts/11612-cz-shadow-2-safety-wide-for-right-side.html KMR takes the S2 slide stop and has the exact same right-side flat safety as the S2, so I don't see a reason this S2 part wouldn't fit. What's the source for this time period? KMR folks at their booth?
  5. Thanks. I'll see at a coming match if anyone's up to that. Lowering the gun between sets of targets is a bad habit I'm having trouble shaking. I make up when longer range shots "feel" off. Up close I try to look for the holes when starting to transition after making the shots.
  6. I've been staticly shooting different handguns for fun at local shooting ranges monthly since the start of the pandemic. Since that got old eventually, I've taken up IPSC, got my own guns and gear and now been at it since April 2023 with 39 match points accrued. As a general policy I try to shoot all-alphas, while avoiding mikes and no-shoots. In hit-calling when I can't ascertain two good hits close-up, I put one or two makeups in. This has an effect of slowing me down. On longer stages and in worst cases, my time is double of the fastest and more experienced guys. What can I do to improve my times?
  7. KMR has 11 and 13lb springs, both main and recoil, included in the kit. I found out a 9lb main spring is the minimum for a good DA pull while still reliably setting off all the ammo I use with a lightened firing pin spring. No other work necessary IMO.
  8. DAA Flex holster with Type B insert will fit KMR nicely. For the Alpha-X I've heard some have filed material off here and there to get it to lock. I have 900 rounds through my Spectra and it's been great. @tedahlenius85 have you tried taking the left safety and firing spring retaining plate off? The safety is tight and the retaining plate won't move at all. Do they require a hammer and punch to coerce them out? I come from CZ Shadow 1 so I know the general disassembly of the gun, but the tolerances are so much tighter on the KMR.
